I know I'm a first time poster, but I've been reading Free Republic for some time. I want to offer some personal observations that will encourage the supporters of Herman Cain. I know there's no reason to believe what I say, but I think you'll find that what I say supports what others have been saying. My information is obtained from independent sources, not from other Free Republic posters.
First of all, the poll produced by Insider Advantage is not accurate. Insider Advantage does not have a good history when it comes to polls. They predicted in 2000 that Jeb Bush would lose, and that Georgia was a toss up State. Don't put much stock in that poll.
Isakson is not leading by 20+ points. The Isakson campaign knows this and are now openly talking about being in a run-off. I have heard that a recent Isakson internal poll shows Isakson at 44% and Cain at 36%. I'm not the first poster here to report this information.
I have it on good information that a large metro-Atlanta County (a Republican stronghold) is seeing a significant number of African-Americans vote in the Republican primary, during the early voting period occuring this week. It is rumored that this is also happening in a large metro-Atlanta County that is a Democrat stronghold. This is not good news for Isakson.
The Collins campaign is set to go hard after Isakson this weekend on TV in a last ditch effort to overcome Cain. This will further drop Isakson's support, and is not likely to harm Cain. Cain is too far ahead of Collins for Collins to overtake Cain.
I'm not the first to predict this, but Herman Cain and Johnny Isakson will be in a runoff. If Isakson is 46% or less, Cain will win the runoff, and become the next US Senator from Georgia.
So what? And how do you know that?
Steve Forbes. He supported (that's how it's spelled) Steve Forbes, and shared Forbes' initial concern that GWB was not conservative enough. Since the primaries both have come to support Bush.
Care to provide links for the rest of your assertions?
I know he thought about running AGAINST Bob Kerrey -- is that what you mean when you said he donated to Kerrey once?
He said it back in may that he wanted to extend the
iraq hand over deadline , and he didn't agree with BUSH.
He supported McPain after steve forbes got out
Here is what I found.
In the 90's he donated $$ to Sen. Bob kerrey of NE( whose vote gave us the Clinton Tax increase, and who is pro-choice).
Really? So he supported McCain for two weeks? Geez .... that's terrible .... we'd better not vote for Cain .... LOL ..... oh, have you come up with links for any of this stuff, or did someone just send you an email called "bad scary things about Herman Cain" and you decided to post items all over FR?
Yeah, that's what I thought .....
well, thats true, I meant his positions, especially his economic positions. I was just thinking in national terms, unfortunately there is still a misconception that African Americans and others are better off with democrat policies when the exact opposite is true. It is sad that it would take a Rep black Senator to change this, but the truth is it might open a lot of eyes and cut into the dim black and hispanic votes, he will have an especially high profile, which he can use to this end. I think all the folks at the NAACP are about at tipping point, they just need someone to push them a little bit and the whole structure will be exposed for what it is.
So anyway, if your fine with either then it can't hurt going for Cain.
Unlike you I don't get emails from anyone...
That's why the right choice is COllins.
That's kind of sad.
Cain has my vote.....
I am planning to vote for Cain, but after checking his site, there is no iformation on his stance on illegal immigration that I can find.
Anyone know of any statements he has made on this subject?
INformation......(proofreading is my friend)......
Cain has organized a great grassroots campaign. I've never worked on a campaign before, but so far I've put up 150 Cain yard signs mostly on the south side of Atlanta trying to reach black voters. A Cain victory would be the Democrats worse nightmare.
Go Herman Go!
No need to get nasty. I can't find the article to which you refer in the News section of the Cain campaign website. Just post a link to the specific statement, or cut and paste it, and suggest that you think KQQL may be in error based on that. The light touch is usually the more effective touch. Just my opinion. Regards.
This why Cain's donation to Bob Kerrey matters.
(Bob Kerrey) Provided the 50th vote in the senate(Gore being #51) to help pass the Clinton Tax Hike.
Robert Kerrey (D) Overall ACU rating = 8
http://acuratings.com/acu.cgi?ACT=3&STATE=NE&YEAR=2000
Why would any conservative give money to a PRO TAXING (Bob Kerrey) democrat who has an ACU rating of 8?
I wonder if Kerrey returned the favor by being one of the donors from outside Ga. that have provided 70% of Cain's campaign contributions.
