This is what the Left has been doing to churches for many years now. It's smart for conservatives to pursue such a route - it works, and its the best way to get churches back to the principles on which it was established.
This article reminds me of that shadow-Leftist woman who was head of the Church organization (can't remember the name of it) that fought to get Elian Gonzalez repatriated to Cuba. What a kommie piece of work she was.

Interesting article I came across the other day which talks about what the religious right wing of the GOP may have in store for us.
The "religous right wing" of the GOP is it's base. If that is somehow offensive to you, are you suggesting that the GOP
go against it's base?
The way it's written, the article is less than flattering of Christian conservatives' efforts. Even the language used is slanted - "conservative" versus "progressive", not "conservative" versus "liberal". And your own comment, above, uses an interesting juxtaposition of words.
"religious right wing" versus "us". "Us" versus "them".
I'm afraid your agenda is showing.
"It was kind of like getting to watch the Nazi's try out the techniques of blitzkrieg in the Spanish Civil War before they unleashed them on the rest of Europe"
How kind.
Comparing the web sites shows that conservatives are very visible in their networking, not that they are very effective. Liberals didn't go after CEO positions when they took over the country. They knew everyone wanted to be CEOs. They went on to become Human Resources directors. Nobody knew the Revolution was on until someday some woke up in the late 70s and realized that every major denomination, every newspaper, every television state, every nationally prominent university, every major foundation, and even most major corporations had become systemically socialist.
Conservatives try to rally everyone to believe in their cause by shouting, "Look at us, everyone, We're infiltrating!"
In "the Devil's Advocate," Satan summed up how he does it quite nicely: "Never let them see you coming."
NO.
The liberals "taking over" is not the source of the problem. Its the CINO's and other Christian leaders with no backbone to blame for letting the mainstreaming of birth control, easy divorce, easy salvation, easy no-fault parenting, unfaithfulness in marriage, the mainstreaming of the smut and filth in film and on TV, and homosexuality into the church. Lets not talk BS here. We (Christians) know what the difference is between the worlds way and God's way. Christian leadership tolerated all this crap...piece by piece. Liberals just started filling in the pews because they all-of-a-sudden felt more comfortable there.

Hogwash...the Biblical foundation IS peace and Justice. It's because this has been eroded that we have diminishing peace and diminishing justice.
I do not understand how a Christian or Jew could vote for and fund the Democratic Party.
Sounds like us fundies have learned a thing or two from our foes - the gay activists, NOW and the pro-aborts. Good for us.
Blame it on the Vietnam War; more specifically, the draft exemptions policy. Seminary students were immune from the draft. Many libs sat the war out in seminary & got ordained; now they run the seminaries themselves (including saying who gets to become the next generation of ministers.) *That's* one major reason why so many denominations are so liberal.
The same way they, liberals, took over politics. Faithless men gave up their God given leadership positions to women.
bump for later
Have the liberals taken over the Unitarians yet?
