I think this could have another effect. Probably, either way Slimfast could lose here. The company will either alienate conservatives or liberals. It's really a no-win for them. I think that maybe in the future, companies will chose spokespeople more carefully. That could mean that anyone, regardless of their beliefs, that have well-known political beliefs (maybe even religious ones) will have a tough time getting such endorsements, unless the company itself takes a strong stand on the issues.

"companies will choose spokespeople more carefully."

The "keep your mouth shut" clause will be standard in contracts.

Another hate filled Black no talent Racist, Danny Glover lost his spokes position with a telephone company earlier this year.

Neither Glover nor Whoopi have any talent left if they ever had any.

It is an old Follywood stunt to come out hating America and GW or Reagan when your talent has left. The insures them a market for their non talent in France, Germany and Ireland.

This is why smart companies don't get involved in politics.

I agree. The best (safest) spokeperson may be the one who otherwise keeps his or her mouth shut. But given the prerequisite lack of brainpower for dwelling in Hollywood, that would be a very good trend. Besides, the limosine liberals can never just keep their mouths shut.

So.....what's wrong with that? I'm sick of these "actors" being treated as if they are the intelligencia of this country. Truth is, Hollyweird is the major reason the world (especially Muslims) hate us. I have traveled abroad. I can assure you that the picture most of the world has of this country (over sexed, drugged out, criminals with naked women running all over the place)is what they get from Hollyweird. Obviously, they see the "true picture of America" on the big screen and TV.....so "President
Bush has to be lying that it is a great country".

No, you're wrong. The company can stick to selling slimfast. It's a win-win. They sell their product to liberals and conservatives. They stop offensive political stands. On either side. If slimfast has a board of directors, they need to step in -- or out, as the case may be...

The company will either alienate conservatives or liberals. It's really a no-win for them.
