GOPers WANT WHOOPI'S FAST EXIT (FR MENTIONED)
The NY Post ^

Posted on 07/13/2004 8:14:22 AM PDT by sdk7x7

July 13, 2004 -- WASHINGTON — Some Republican activists are launching a boycott of SlimFast diet products to protest SlimFast spokeswoman Whoopi Goldberg's X-rated rant against President Bush at a New York fund-raiser for Democrat John Kerry last week. Chat pages on pro-Bush Web sites like FreeRepublic.com are posting links for complaints to SlimFast or parent company Unilever, along with reports from angry consumers about what they wrote in their complaints.

A typical one: "Realize that when Goldberg insults our president, particularly in such a vulgar fashion, she alienates half the country . . . Can SlimFast really afford to lose half of their potential market?"

SlimFast executives yesterday didn't respond to questions about whether they intend to keep Goldberg as spokeswoman. Company president F. Daniel Abraham is a major Democratic donor who, with his wife, has given $1.2 million to groups working to defeat Bush.

I'm pretty sure it is Anglo-Dutch, but they are certain to have entities operating within France.

The Lott contribution was back in 1984. Maybe he was just looking for a favor from him. The contribution that caught my interest was DNC NON-FEDERAL UNINCORPORATED ASSOCIATION ACCOUNT for $100k.

Apparently the DNC knew that Whoopi who uses her fat Pie Hole instead of her fat mouth was going to be over the line.

I thought the term "Pie Hole" referred to the mouth?

Costco makes a perfectly good product similar to SlimFast in every way. Plus it is cheaper.

"DNC NON-FEDERAL UNINCORPORATED ASSOCIATION ACCOUNT for $100k."

Nice tidy little sum!

I wonder what these $'s did for the enemies of America.

In and of itself, the names on that list and the amounts of money should be enough for every American to quit using the product line, completely.

Never used them myself; never will.

An Open Letter To The Kerry Campaign (Bush/Cheney Campaign Release)
Bush/Cheney ^ | 7-12-04 | Mary Beth Cahill

Posted on 07/13/2004 10:22:41 AM PDT by My Favorite Headache

July 13, 2004

Mary Beth Cahill Campaign Manager John Kerry for President P.O. Box 34640 Washington, DC 20043

Dear Ms. Cahill:

On Thursday your campaign hosted a fundraiser at Radio City Music Hall at which Sen. Kerry said, "Every performer tonight in their own way either verbally through their music through their lyrics have conveyed to you the heart and soul of our country."

I called on your campaign to release the performance that Sen. Kerry said represented the "heart and soul" of America so that all Americans could see for themselves what John Kerry thinks represents the "heart and soul" of our country.

Do most Americans in their hearts, think that calling the President a "thug" and a "killer" represents the "heart and soul" of our nation? We don't think so, but we think voters should decide for themselves by watching the celebrities John Kerry said captured the "heart and soul" of America.

Your Senior Advisor Tad Devine said that you believed that releasing musical performances "might violate copyrights and licensing agreements for the entertainers who performed and allow the Bush campaign to use the tape in commercials against Kerry and Edwards"

I have been assured that "fair use" rules of copyright would allow you to release the tapes of these musical performances to the news media under 2 U.S.C. 107. To allay the other concern you relayed to the news media, Bush-Cheney '04 pledges to refrain from using audio, video or transcripts of the event for any television, cable, satellite or radio advertising. We look forward to seeing this spirited display.

Sincerely,

Ken Mehlman Campaign Manager

what Bush should do is use Whoopi, Moore and clips of the anarchist idiots that want to protest the Repub convention in a campaign ad. The Voice over should say "These are Kerry supporters, do we want to elect a man who would allow them access to the White House? Didn't John's mon ever tell him you are judged by the company you keep?" That would be a bombshell ad!

reporters who were guests were told not to video tape nor audio tape any of what happened

I don't believe they didn't for a minute. Somebody has this. Heck, cell phones have the capability to transmit this. I have a tape recorder that is about 2" wide and 4" long. Even if the "reporters" didn't record it (which I don't believe) some "guest" did. It's out there. I don't know what the hold out is, but somebody will sell it to a tabloid if nothing else. I fully trust it is coming.

I can guarantee you that any employee or stringer for any major liberal newspaper, weekly phoney news mag or ABCNNBC BS, who has this mess taped and releases it, will be fired immediately and will never work for the liberal media again.

However, having said the above, a tape of this mess would be a great resume to go to work for FOX News!

Hopefully someone taped it, and it will appear in some national scandal sheet. Then everyone who checks out at a grocery line can see the headlines.

I called and spoke with someone (MaryAnn) in their consumer division. I pressed O for operator, then asked for the complaint department. I wanted my call to reach the correct person. First, my husband calmly spoke his piece, gave his name. Then I took the phone and told them to log this as two complaints. I told her that Whoopi's remarks about our President were obscene and vulgar. She told me that they are reviewing the situation and are taking it quite seriously. She said that they were "in discussions" even before Whoopi's rant.
She was searching for a word...she said, "They were in discussions even before her...ummm??". I said, "How about her anti-American obscene tirade against our President during a time of war...is that close enough?" She meakly said, "Yes".

She told me there is a contract involved, and I said there must be a morality clause in her contract, and what she did was immoral. I told her that I really like their product, especially their lunch bars, but I really won't buy them as long as her disgusting mug is pitching them. Yep, I said that.

I told her I'm sorry if I came on strong and that I realize it's not her fault. I asked her if she thought Whoppi was wrong, and I got the standard, "Slim-fast does not share her beliefs". I said then they had better distance themselves from that poison called Whoopi, and the sooner the better. They have a wholesome image that's about to crumble. There was more, but that's all I can think of for now. I give myself an A+.

So.....what's wrong with that? I'm sick of these "actors" being treated as if they are the intelligencia of this country. Truth is, Hollyweird is the major reason the world (especially Muslims) hate us. I have traveled abroad. I can assure you that the picture most of the world has of this country (over sexed, drugged out, criminals with naked women running all over the place)is what they get from Hollyweird. Obviously, they see the "true picture of America" on the big screen and TV.....so "President
Bush has to be lying that it is a great country".
