July 13, 2004 -- WASHINGTON — Some Republican activists are launching a boycott of SlimFast diet products to protest SlimFast spokeswoman Whoopi Goldberg's X-rated rant against President Bush at a New York fund-raiser for Democrat John Kerry last week.

Chat pages on pro-Bush Web sites like FreeRepublic.com are posting links for complaints to SlimFast or parent company Unilever, along with reports from angry consumers about what they wrote in their complaints.

I refused to have anything to do with MCI because of Danny Glover and was pleased to tell them why via letter. Time to write another one :-)

They are certainly free to keep using her as a spokesperson... and I am free take my business elsewhere.

Slimfast is a subsidiary of the giant Unilever corporation. They own Lux, Birdseye, Pond's, Dove plus other products

Contact Slim-Fast's parent corporation Unilever. Let them know you're not just boycotting Slimfast, but all their products! Click here to contact Unilever:

And don't eat Canadian Bacon, Drink Candian Beer or Canadian Whisky, they refuse to extradite the 2 soldiers who deserted. I guess it's freedom fries, W ketchup and water for all of us by the time we get done boycotting.

Aside from that, she looks like something even the cat wouldn't drag in.

For some reason the description "scare the buzzards away from a gut wagon" comes to mind.

Now wait a minute!! I was buying my gas from Citgo because it is the only oil company that doesn't buy any oil from Saudi Arabia. It is sort of hard to try and bankrupt the Saudi's AND Chavez.

Here's my message to Slim fast:

Whoopi's hate rant

I assure you that following Goldberg's disgusting performance in NYC that I and anyone in my family who might even consider buying your product will not do so.

I am sickened that you would permit such a foul mouthed, foul mannered person promote a product that you would actually put in your mouth.

It will not happen in this home.

Pity, as on occassion we did enjoy the shakes. No more.

At any rate, I hope that your marketing department will reconsider this matter. If they should, I will also reconsider my stance.

Anyway, so who knows if they'll even read it.

I just started a diet, too. Guess I'm a "Zone Man" alll the way this time.

I am wondering about whether we in Texas can drill our own wells and then build a tiny home refinery??

forget Chavez then, buy from CITGO.

They'll have a civil war when the recall election is held anyways

Well, I'm certainly NOT buying that other brand. and I'm not too fond of Paul Newman's products either. I prefer Marie's dressings. It seems like a friendlier choice.

Marie's is good, but have you tried Ken's?

Why would slim fast want her as a spokesthing, anyway?

I think she is the before model.

It's not an industry with high standards. Didn't Jenny Craig or some diet scammers hire Monica? Even after we all found out what she'd been munching on?

No class.

Thanks for the link. I just sent a message to the company informing them of two lost customers.

My wife and I actually do (or did) buy their breakfast bars...only about $35 a month worth, but $35 that silly company won't get anymore from us.

I'm a new Freeper but since I found this site a few days ago, I have felt better than I have in a loooong time (politically speaking)...gives me lots of hope. There's a whole world out there I didn't know about that isn't crazy!

I don't quite know how to rationalize all of this...we're mad at her for rude, personal attacks on Bush, not just his policies, and yet we're asking "did she ever try Slim Fast", attacking her person. We should attack her disrespectfulness instead.

Thats not true. A company called Mirastar out here in the west uses only Arctic crude or Canadian crude in their product.
