You know the Biblical history of Iraq, correct? I'm right in the middle of the Left Behind series of books. New Babylon is the capital of the world, in the books. Right outside Baghdad.

YES good series whether it is factual or not. It get's people to thinking. Have the whole thing on tape. We will be on Daniel 7 in the next few days starting the vision of the four beast on Quix site...

Besides SK there are other UN units assigned to "keep the peace." the reality is that we're not there to deter the NK's from coming south, but to keep the SK's from going north! The troops actually on the DMZ are not powerful enough to stop any attack unless they use nuke artillery and that would have to be okayed all the way to DC. No time. No, their function is to give a warning to the meat of the units in the south. They get to "Yell BANG and die."

Every once in a while I see an article where they shoot at each other on the border. After all these years we still have to babysit all these folks? Is that just a little mind blowing or is it just me? Maybe we are trying to take over the world!

Dunno what's been happening lately, but back in the 1980's I had a BUNCH of officer type buddies who ran successful ambushes inside the DMZ at night against the NK's. The DMZ after dark is or was a free-fire zone. Anything that moves is fair game. Anybody who led a successful hit during the hours of darkness automatically had a price on their head by NK forces and they were always rotated out of the country within 24 hours. It was only spoken of inside army circles, and that news blackout held for all that time because after all, SK is also a police state. But a "benevolent police state." LOL
