In Baghdad, terrorists taken after the firefight with US and Iraqi security forces. There's the problem ....why do we insist on taking them alive? These terrorists only understand one thing- death.

That al-Assad is even more swarmy than is father. I wouldn't buy a used car from that guy.

I especially like the photos of the Afghans getting ready for their elections. Amazing, isn't it? The Afghans, who have no experience with casting votes, are managing very well......much better than supposedly intelligent Floridians.

These look more like pictures from a Syrian car show. Nice cars!

All these Middle Eastern Nutjob countries LUST after the Nuclear Bomb. We'd better realize this and act pre-emptively or there will certainly be some dark days ahead.

In Damascus, Syria, a 1953 Pontiac parked in a tony residential neighborhood. Sorry, look again. It has "Dual Streak" chrome bands on the hood. It's a 1952 Pontiac.

Thank You Dio! Great post.
If you want to see cars like this everywhere on a city street then go for a holiday to Cuba.Ever since the Cuban Missile Crises ,the USA has had emcargos on Cuba.
Therefore everyone living there has to drive cars from the 1950's.
Now if you tie a can to your end,and I tie a can to my end we can say "Hello"

Re: those pics of the cars in Syria, I see there are 2 females walking by on sidewalk. They are dressed in shirts and pants. Are they locals or tourists?
Didn't know that women over there can dress like that. Thought they all had to wear clothes that covered them from head to toe.
