With the selection of Edwards, this is an incredibly stupid idea - I am looking forward to seeing Cheney, in his soft Wyoming twang, tear the Boy Edwards to pieces.

Presumably Edwards would then sue him for emotional distress. :-)

There is a lot of hatred out there. Maybe something needs to be done to help unify the country.

Agree completely with you! Cheney will have Edwards for lunch. Hopefully he won't get food poisoning...

“But we should make no mistake, we are a nation at war with a vicious terrorist foe, and in war hard decisions must be made.”

I thought he was talking about the rat party, as justification for his suggestion regarding Cheney's dumping.

Yep, pretty much demonstrates why Al isn't holding an elective office, doesn't it?

Yep. When "if I tell you something you can take it to
the bank" Cheney gets through mopping up the floor with
Mr. Edwards, Mr. Edwards will look like Ned in the First
Reader, just like they all do who tangle with the Vice
Prez.

I agree, an incredibly stupid idea. McCain and Powell would damage Bush's conservative base, doing more harm than good.

Dick Cheney has got to be the most competent, articulate and
intelligent vice-president I have ever known in my entire life. Gimme a break.

Cheney took it easy on Leiberman(and still stomped him), otherwise it would have seemed like he was picking on a criple. That will not be the case with Fluffytas.
