The previous report "The Feds threatened L.A. radio station KFI?" has been partially confirmed.
According to today's John & Ken show (KFI-Los Angeles), a press secretary at the White House has contacted Ray Lopez, John & Ken's producer, and asked them to stop giving out Asa Hutchinson's phone number. Asa Hutchinson is the DHS Undersecretary responsible for immigration matters. No mention has been made of whether the threat to ban KFI reporters from DHS press conferences stands. However, the fact that the White House is now complaining strongly indicates that the call mentioned in the earlier post was not a hoax.
Apparently Asa can't get his work done because of all the calls from KFI listeners complaining about lax immigration enforcement.
Perhaps if they listened to the vast majority of citizens they wouldn't be facing this problem.
Thankfully, John & Ken don't appear to be giving in.
The White House has offered an alternate email address for Asa, but it apparently is just an unread drop-box.
dare you Joe to call John & Ken and ask them why they don't say a word about the judges.
Wishful thinking on my part, you don't have the cajones.
Feinstein and Boxer were aided in their re elections by motor voter and the rampant illegal voting in the last two elections. .... but where was the GOP in helping us to investigate this properly??? They don't even back their own people! ... and by the way I was a Reagan Democrat until this year, now a Republican, but even I as a Dem never voted for the two dimwits we have for Senators. California politics stinks with corruption.
You know the White House would have *NEVER* contacted the station unless they were receiving a massive amount of calls and mail.......
Government has such a special gift for that in the face of an obvious threat.
John and Ken's MO: be uncivil, then throw a hissy-fit when the target of the uncivility responds with anything other than "Thank you sir, may I have another?"
I wouldn't have "threatened" KFI for putting Hutchinson's phone number on their website. I would've simply revoked the KFI press passes without explanation. Access to the White House press room is not any sort of right.
They're on......
(insert cricket-chirping sound here)
See reply #137 and choke on your crickets.
Please, give me the world....nah, I'd have no where to keep it.
JUst called and was going to leave Asa a message but their mail box is full...... amazing... thanks to John and Ken..
He said, Asa Hutchinson went after Clintons sex life, but now he's in charge of HS and INS and the law isn't the law anymore......Hehe..
It's OK, hire an illegal to tend it for you.
Why is it being allowed????
Well, if Bush and Company respond to this as true conservatives should, the left will have one more banner to hit the streets with in this election cycle. "Bush Hates Hispanics!!!! LOOK, he's enforcing our borders and using RACIAL PROFILING!"
I look for nothing to happen until Bush is reelected and then you might see him play some hardball with Mr. Fox.
Don't be so hard on Don Rauuul. After all, he was nice enough to give me my tagline.
They're getting exposed! And they are POd....
And that has anything whatsoever to do with massive, mainly-Mexican, illegal immigration how?
Sorry Dane. You lose. You've just exposed yourself, again, as a know-almost-nothing thread-jester who gets off with the scant bit of attention afforded by being the "contrarian".
It is obvious that John & Ken have never of Dale Carnegie.
They and their fans join such esteemed company as the whole modern democratic party.
They were trying to give KFI dead email addresses and asking them not to use the *real* ones..... LOL!
John & Ken are going the Janet Jackson route.
Whew talk about begging for attention.
He's telling the White House to basically, bring it on! Oh, this is great!
