in an attempt to recall the days of Camelot, the democrats are knicknaming this campaign "John-John."

I'm surprised. I was sure that Kerry wouldn't pick anyone prettier or smarter than he was.

What's the difference between a dead opossum in the road and a dead trial lawyer in the road?

The opossum has skid marks.

Does this mean with two senators on the campaign trail the republicans can get some of these judicial nominees through?

Deadwards wasn't the best choice. He should have gotten Bill Richardson or the Babe Governor of Michigan. Edwards had worn off by the end of the campaign season. He was seen as a lightweight on foreign affairs and his anti-trade message was straight out of the Pat Buchanan playbook. Bush will not be too badly damaged by this.

The democrats obviously didn't want Edwards the first time around so why would they want him now? Edwards and Kerry disagreed on so much before but I guess Edwards is willing to trade it all in to be guy #2.

He picked him so he could further mimick the Kennedy thing.

JFK, now John John.

It must suck to share the name of a guy repeatedly declared to be the "Biggest Douche in the Universe" according to South Park. Sure, the name refers to the Crossing Over guy, but coincidence? I think not. I'm sure there is some tasty material there that could be used for entertainment.

John Edwards: The Biggest Douche In The Universe

Edwards: "I know, I know how much pressure you have been under and how hard it's been for you to decide this, John, and I'm grateful ..."

Kerry: "I'll show you how hard. Now turn around and bend over."

I don't disagree that Kerry/Edwards is an awful ticket - we all do need to make sure we energize our base just as much as the dems...we need to

TURN OUT THE VOTE!

This is great. All Kerry could do during the primaries was bitch about how inexperienced and incompetent Edwards was, now he's suddenly Kerry's running mate. That's real swift.
