I wonder if the Breck Girl has used his time out of the limelight to get that thing removed from his lip...

The unions told Kerry that it had better be Gephardt. I hope it is lightweight Edwards.

Well, I just heard CBS "BEWS" on the radio and they are not reporting this Edwards pick yet. Although, I did hear a sound bite comment from Kerry who basically said, "It's very private and personal."
What a complete sphincter this brood can be.
And as I type this they just reported it!! Pretty boy!

The trial lawyers have their payback, but big labor is dissed. Hmmmm.
It could be there are now more trial lawyers than union members.

Kerry/Edwards:
Aligned against traditional Americans we have:
The Aristocratic Class, Big Trial Lawyers, Big Unions, Big Media, Big Entertainment, Big Investment, Big Environment, Big Philanthropic Foundation, Big Porn, Old Europe, The Oil Cartel, and (surprising to me) Big New Tech.
Anyone have any idea what all those have in common?
Internationalism is what comes to mind.

Edwards was the only one of the VP candidates who can give the Kerry campaign a significant bump in the polls. He will also bring in a lot of cash from the trial lawyers. I would think Kerry will get a 5-8 point increase in the next week or so. Will Bush stay the course with Cheney, or try to trump the pick with Rice or Guilani?

nice southern strategerie, J-F'ing!

The Breck Girl wouldn't be my first choice either, especially seeing as how Purdy Boy only carried his home state.
NC never really had a primary-only hand picked caucuses. NC hates him but people have short memories.
To: Qwinn
That's a good point. Does anyone know here how precedented this is? Meaning, how often a veep candidate was an opponent during that party's primary? I don't -think- it's happened in my lifetime How about Ronald Reagan and George H.W. Bush. Were you alive in 1980? GHW Bush in the primary called the Reagan economic plan VooDoo Economics. The media used that against Reagan during the entire campaign. Bush got an upset victory in Iowa. Reagan recovered and won New Hampshire. The race hinged on who won South Carolina and Reagan won it easily.
Jerry Ford at the Republican convention in 1980 was trying to get even with Reagan for REagans failure to drop out before the convention 1976. Jerry touted himself as the only way Reagan could win. But Jerry said he would have to have a Co-President role. Reagan decided to end the Ford Co-Presidnet bubble and announced his primary rival George H.W. Bush would be his VP.

Edwards spent a lot of time before the beginning of his campaign talking to European leaders, getting vetted I suppose. Looked on Google but haven't found the news articles.
Internationalsim indeed. Good point.

OK - Quick guys - Q: How Many Southern State Primaries did John Edwards Win in the 2004 Primary Sweepstakes?
IIRC, Oklahoma was the only other state he won.

The Dems decry Cheney as being a tool of special interests (Halliburton!?!?!?!?), and they're behind Edwards, poster-boy for the trial lawyers, who take money out of everybody's pocket, make millions for themselves, and raise insurance costs? I couldn't have picked a better VP candidate for Horseface myself....

I'm not a big Glenn Beck fan (can't take his overacting histrionics) but I do remember that last year Beck said he was amazed that Edwards was even in the primary race given something really BIG in his background that Edwards would want hidden. Does anybody know what Beck was referring to? He didn't get into any specifics. Anyway, I guess I will tune in to Glenn Beck today to hear his take on this.
