If you've followed the thread a while, you'll know there have been a few destructive flamewars. I for one accept your apology.

I've read your series of posts and the responses, and while I appreciate what you're saying, the "sky is falling" mentality is the rare exception, rather than the rule, at least over the last 45,000 posts or so. As this TM Thread has evolved, we have borrowed the philosphy from FNC in that "we report, you decide." We don't always agree and many of us do question the significance, if any, of the various reports and observations from our peers, except we generally do it without patronizing and for the most part, with respect.

As far as the "bridge" example that you cite, please don't forget that within a day or two prior to the tanker exploding under the bridge, there were well publicized reports that AQ might try to do just that, and not just generally, but specifically on I-95 in that particular area of CT.

Lastly, you lost a lot of credibility when you said that you had read all of the posts to this thread. There are something like 60,000 posts, and there is no way you could have read anywhere close to all of those posts given the fact that you joined FR today.

With that said, welcome aboard, and despite your rocky start, I trust that you'll contribute frequently. Remember, its a lot easier to keep up with the this thread on a daily basis, than to fall behind and try to catch up.
