Heavenly Father, we return to give You thanks that Y2K can be seen as a prelude to the preparedness that needs to be a part of our War on Terrorism. May we be mindful, O God, that preparation must to be a part of every American family ... may wisdom and discernment fall greatly upon our beloved country, that we are able to approach any situation or crisis from a position of strength. Let us heed the words and warnings from many sources ... keep us vigilant and able, for the enemy will relent only in total defeat.

Merciful Father, we cover the communication nerve center for Homeland Security in fervent prayer, for any disruption within the network would be disastrous. May contingency plans be in place ... may alternate means of communication be established ... may all those charged with the security and defense of the homeland be vigilant and committed and successful in preventing harm. Even as life seems to go on unaffected, may we be preparing against an unseen enemy who wants to visibly shake the foundations of our country and slaughter our people. Reveal each and every plan for evil ... may the prayers of the saints continue to be a hedge around our people and communities and national treasures, our commerce and our trade. Give the greatest wisdom to President Bush and his administration, that every area of our national life be under a plan of protection. We uphold our defenders serving on native soil, even as we uphold our defenders who serve on foreign soil. We pray that Iraq has the greatest success in its move to a vibrant, sovereign nation ... we thank You, Lord, for leading in the battle that has freed two nations from tyranny ... may Your Name be glorified forever and ever, Amen ...
