[Note: While it took a while to find confirmation, Fox News says Brando's lawyer has confirmed. LM]
(CBS 5 News)--The man called the greatest actor of all time has died.
CBS 5 News has learned Marlon Brando passed away Thursday in Los Angeles.
Brando may be best known for his roles in "The Godfather" and "On the Waterfront". He won oscars for his work in those 2 films.
The cause of death is still unknown.
I despised every thing about the guy.
he could have been somebody.
Seriously, what is that photo?
I recognize Wellstone's kid, so that'd be the Funerally.
I thought he was just pretending to be Truman Capote
He did a great job in the Godfather. I liked the movie as a whole not just because he was in it. I personally liked Robert DeNiro playing the young Vito Corleone better in Godfather II. Que bello!
Hopefully he'll get a proper burial...rather than being thrown into the trunk of a car, driven to the beach, and left in a shallow grave for the cops to find.
are you sure it's not a hoax OR you misheard?
There is a current news story that MARLON BRANDO is in DEBT (not dead)?
If you cant say anything good about the dead you shouldnt say anything.
I have nothing to say except his greatest role was as the father of Superman.
The Wellstone Funerally.
Compare and contrast with the Reagan funeral.
As a member of the National Association of Marlon Brando Look Alikes, I'll be wearing a black armband today. :-(
Mark
But will coverage of his life/death take the place of the incessant reviews of Saddam's court appearance, described at NPR as pure propaganda with no real legal merit?
Will Marlon substitute himself for an Native American woman in the casket?
Excuse my misidentified movie title above - that particular one was "Last Tango in Paris." And yes, it's sad to see such talent wasted.
Ah. I thought they looked too happy to be mourning Brando...:-)
It's still before 6am out in LA, but I'm believing these Phoenix people have been misled about the death of Marlon Brando.
The ONLY link I can find is the cbs5 in Phoenix (linked at the posted story). NO ONE else is reporting this (FOX CBS NBC ABC MSNBC CNN). Interesting.
yep, unless this phoenix CBS has scooped the world - I dunno....I am shocked no one else has the story yet.
It's from the Paul Wellstone funeral last year. Doesn't that woman in the middle look possessed?
So true for so many.
