[Note: While it took a while to find confirmation, Fox News says Brando's lawyer has confirmed. LM]
(CBS 5 News)--The man called the greatest actor of all time has died.
CBS 5 News has learned Marlon Brando passed away Thursday in Los Angeles.
Brando may be best known for his roles in "The Godfather" and "On the Waterfront". He won oscars for his work in those 2 films.
The cause of death is still unknown.
Me too Mayor
Correct but his status with the Almighty at the moment of death is impossible to determine
Ouch! *~*
OK......now that's funny :)
Was just hoping you had a bit of respect for the dead.
In a wierd sense.....Is his son Christian, The one that Barretta's wife said fathered her baby? Before Blake ?
ONC, you missed my point. I was answering a post as to someone wondering where Brando might be now and I posted his courtroom performance. It's left up to each and every individual to make of that what they will. Chill out.
Weighing in a around a quarter of a ton - no exaggeration - might've had something to do with it.
What's with all the Nancy McKeon posts???
Is this for real?
Good luck. And may your first child, be a masculine child.
I could not believe how young everybody was. I didn't even recognize Al Pacino! I got kind of lost in G2, too many mobsters. Theres a scene where one of Al Pacino's allies is strangled in a bar, why did that happen and did he survive? The camera flashed to him after the cop interrupted and he looked like he made it. I went to bed right after that scene, just couldn't keep my eyes open. My husband said I'd regret going to sleep. I wish I would have stayed up for the rest.
People have worshipped artists since time immemorial. They help us see the world in a different way. They are the 'unacknowledged legislators of the world' as Shelley put it.
Early in the thread, it was said that "Nancy McKeon was still dead." I hadn't heard that she died, and, she being my favorite from Facts of Life, was wondering what had happened.
Apparently, as some posters pointed out later in the thread, it was an urban legend/hoax from just recently.
No.
Luca Brasi sleeps with the fishes.
That was Frankie Pantangelli, the acting head of the Corleone family in NYC. He did indeed survive and became a government witness against Michael Corleone.
A pox on all of Hollywood, Jews or otherwise. They started out during the Golden Era just sleeping with each other. For the past forrty years they have been screwing America. Look back through the old movies up to the present and you will see that America has been adopting the morals of Hollywood at just about the rate of ten years after. Hollywood sets the trend for a new depravity and voila, ten years later we're all doing it.
There were some exceptions who tried to set a good example. But for the most part they were selfish, mindless hedonists.
I'm sorry, the best movie ever made stars John Wayne, Maureen O'Hara and Victor McLaglen.
It is "The Quiet Man", and oddly enough was a Republic picture.
