[Note: While it took a while to find confirmation, Fox News says Brando's lawyer has confirmed. LM]
(CBS 5 News)--The man called the greatest actor of all time has died.
CBS 5 News has learned Marlon Brando passed away Thursday in Los Angeles.
Brando may be best known for his roles in "The Godfather" and "On the Waterfront". He won oscars for his work in those 2 films.
The cause of death is still unknown.

Seems Marlon thought Kilmer was practicing a scene which had him impersonating Brando's character(which sounded alot like the real life Brando) a little too enthusiastically.
In spite of Kilmer's attempts at reconciliation Brando refused to speak to him for the rest of the production.
Mixed marriage. His Dad was a gentile.
Your 292 show how low class you are. I need say no more.

Doesn't Judaism establish bloodlines matrilinearly?
"Your 292 show how low class you are. I need say no more."
Brando a looney low class male chauvinistic leftist liberal is dead. Yippee!
I need say no more. :) smiles sweetly ....ahhhhh
Yes it does. He would be considered a Jew, I believe, by Orthodox Judaism.
I'm 3 out of 5 right now in this year's "Room Temperature" sweepstakes:
Karl Malden - still alive
Peter Ustinov - died 3/28
Ray Charles - died 6/10
Marlon Brando - died 7/2
Eli Wallach - still alive
KUDOs, sorry for the skeptism and we're in DEBT to you! ;)
I think Eli Wallach is dead, too.
Nope, Eli Wallach is still at 98.6 degrees.

Generalissimo Francisco Franco is still dead.
The Howard Hughes of Hollywood has conked out? The greatest mumbler of all time? The most overrated carney?
Where is is buried? In the tropics?
Remember when he kissed Larry King on the lips and made him eat cookies!!! lOL...But honestly, what a tragic last half of his life.
You guys got me thinking that I missed something... so I went and checked... Wallach is still alive

One suspects, that aside from the persona he could project onscreen, Marlon Brando's personal life was a morass NOBODY wanted to step into.
Jack Nicholson seems to be downright sunny in comparison.
But he's older'n dirt.
