July 2, 2004 -- THE "Today" show — king of the morning TV shows — inexplicably neglected yesterday to go live to Baghdad to show Saddam Hussein's historic court appearance.While the rest of the news shows were showing a video feed of Saddam around 8:30 a.m., NBC's morning powerhouse was instead running a feature about Olympic badminton.
Video of the defiant dictator, who was officially charged with genocide and crimes against humanity, was ignored by "Today" until around 9 a.m. — well after the rest of the networks had aired it.
"It was a mistake. If we could do it all over again we would do it differently," a "Today" spokeswoman said.

This is their bias coming back to hit them in their wallets, and SOMEBODY is going to get a reprimand, wonder who?
I think Katie is on her way out.
