- Good Afternoon, FReepers!! Poppa HJ said I could drop in on you today and remind everyone that we should be thankful for a lot of things this week. America is as strong as she has ever been, and our Flag still stands as a beacon of hope to oppressed people around the world.
He said we should check out USA Today because the Iraqi people put a great advertisement in there. They thanked the mothers and fathers of the wonderful military folks who helped get rid of a tyrant and brought - with their blood, sweat, and tears - freedom to their land. Wow. That could have been my Momma, she's a medic.
He said that without Free Republic, so many people would never know what was really happening. Because of FR, soldiers and sailors in Iraq have been able to tell Americans here at home what is really happening, and people like my Poppa and MoJo and Kathy have been able to send mail and care packages back to Iraq and Afghanistan.
We met wonderful people like armyboy, Eagle Eye, txradioguy, 1sgMike, mystery-ak, and M0sby through FR and helped them keep their spirits up. That's a special thing to be able to do, and it would have been so hard without Jim Robinson and Free Republic.
So. You know what you have to do. It only takes a little time and just a little money. You can do it!!

PS: Kids, don't try this at home. I'm a professional pointy object handler, and I performed this photo shoot under the supervision of an adult. Tomkow6 and Fawnn won't always agree that Poppa's a responsible adult, but PPPBBLLLTT!!!! They don't live with him...I do!!
