If this had been done September 12, 2001, treasures might have been discovered nation-wide. I am convinced that 99% of muslims even here are sympathetic to the killers, and will aid them actively or with silence.
Unless every one of their homes is searched...

'Worldwide Muslim population is estimated at over 1.5 billion, US Muslim population is estimated at 5 to 8 million
And it is growing quickly, they say. I just can never understand why it is growing quickly. Perhaps we need to figure that out and try to work against the growth?'
deny benefits of any kind to avowed or even suspected muslims.

I just can never understand why it is growing quickly. In the US, Islam appeals to those who have had a bad experience with hypocrisy in their prior religious experience. It is something new that promises to accept all as equals and claims to satisfy (control) every facet of ones life under Shari'a law.
In prison, Islam is growing rapidly because it is a religion for the oppressed, for those who hate and resent 'The Man', and offers brotherhood and support.
In most of the world, Islam is growing because if ya choose any other religion or leave Islam, they cut your head off. That's powerful motivation for growth.

"Their reaction is understandable only to the degree that they are ignorant."
I don't think that is the other posters concern, I think they just don't want to become "collateral damage" of the Mosque explosions.

"They ought to come over to Dearborn Michigan and raid some places there too."
After 9/11 I said they should be going door-to-door in Northern New Jersey. And I still think they should have done it. But they did arrest a bunch of people.

There are those that still think of islam as having the same God as judaism and christianity. There are lots of people, (even some here), who are unaware of the true nature and history of Islam. So? As far as Im concerned, Islam sucks. They need to convince me that they are benevolent. But their silence is deafening. The only history I know of is a pedophile who probabaly had epilepsy being elevated to "prophet" status 600 years after Christ died.

They can't convince you, or anyone else. That's the problem.
They can mix truth with lies and try, but since they are required by the koran to kill us if we don't submit, any words that they say are meaningless. Lying to infidels as encouraged.

I was not attacking you, I was just stating that I will no longer give them the benefit of the doubt. Islam needs to come front and center and decry the detractors in their midst. We cant do it for them. Watch for Ibrahim Hooper to issue statement saying muslims are being oppressed again.
In the 70s and 80s, the Catholics and the Protestants butchered eachother Northern Ireland. Everytime a bomb went of in a Loyalist neighborhood, the Catholics would scream bloody murder that this wasnt Catholicism. The same reaction occured when the "Prods" would blow up a Catholic area. Eventually, tired of the butchery, they came to terms. The point Im trying to make is, the Catholics and Protestants howled every time one of their own committed an act of terrorism. I see nothing like that from Islam.

Call me paranoid if you want, but this evening we stopped at the local public library. There were two people, obviously muslims using one of the free internet access computers. He was dressed in robe, with hat, etc and she had on a full robe (burka?) with only a very narrow slit for her eyes (about 1/2 inch). I kept trying to wonder over behind them to see what was on the screen, but they were both hunched over it and were taking notes. I was wondering if they use the library as maybe their home interent is monitored.

Here you go, from the news article listed
hereLawyers for the Council on American-Islamic Relations observed the raid. The council's spokesman, Ibrahim Hooper, said, "We're concerned that this may be perceived in the Muslim community as a fishing expedition."

I appreciate and understand your sentiment. Any rational person would expect a reaction like that from them.
I think that we are projecting our values on a group of people, expecting them to decry the extremism in their midst, when the reality is that it's not extremism, but mainstream, and at the very core of their belief system.
