June 30, 2004 -- Two security guards working at Iran's U.N. mission were kicked out of the country for spying last week after they were caught videotaping New York City landmarks, authorities said yesterday. It was the fifth incident in less than three years involving Iranian guards.

Sources said it occurred early last week when agents of the FBI's foreign counter-intelligence branch followed the two Iranians in Midtown.

The men, members of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps, a security arm of the Tehran government, were seen videotaping Rockefeller Center and St. Patrick's Cathedral, sources told The Post.

They said the men weren't taking video in a normal manner — holding their cameras at eye level — but held the cameras at their hips, shielding them under their jackets or otherwise using their bodies to conceal them.

Because Iran had been warned about its guards in previous incidents the State Department decided to expel them for activities "incompatible with their stated duties" — which is the polite, diplomatic jargon for spying.

I lurked here for some time, like most do, before signing up so I could specifically respond to someone. This guy signs up and then 6 months later makes a post? His english is on par with being a native so he has been here a while IMO. That is the scary part about dealing with this filth, they blend in unnoticed until they open their mouths politically.

Let us not forget that english is the predominant language in more than one country, okay? And that fluent english speakers are not confined to the USA. Nor are computers. GEST isn't necessarily "here" he could be sitting in front of a terminal anywhere in the world. And I completely agree that signing up six months ago and not posting at all is strange.

I have a simple solution. Move the U.N. to Canada.

I will speculate here that you are a sheethead/raghead/terrorist or other type of idiot.

you have 1 post here and I'm not impressed with it.

Now back to the subject of the thread.

What should have happened to the 2 scumbags is send them to Gitmo and start extraxcting information from them by any means required.

Burning bridges? Like with who? Who refuses, other than our real enemies, to do business with the U.S.?
