Carter, a Nobel Peace Prize recipient, spoke of . . . Mattie's devotion to peace. "He was deeply aware of global affairs," Carter said, recalling that Mattie was in Children's Hospital's intensive care unit when the war in Iraq began last year.

He has no shame. Well, I guess if your mother stated that she should have remained a virgin, what's a son to do?
(I wonder if she really said that in 100% reference to Billy?)

More "Mush from the Wimp".

I hope you meant sarcastic in your last sentence.

Definitely. What amazes me is his lack of humility. At least as I understand humility. It seems like this man takes himself entirely too seriously. What a contrast between him and Reagan.

Clinton has kept quiet most of the time and when he has appeared publicly he has supported the war in Iraq.

thank you for reminding me, sorry to have forgotten.

May the Lord rest Mattie's soul in peace.

And may He comfort Mattie's mother and all those who mourn his death.

There is NO low that is too low for Jimmeh Carter.

He is a disgrace.

Could we send Jimmeh to Al Quada in exchange for the marine held hostage. Maybe Jimmeh could get through to Al Quada before they sawed his head off that peace is the way to go!

Did anyone show Jimmeh the tape with the Korean being beheaded and what he said bofore they cut off his head?

Mr. Peanut Farmer,

You can plan peace until the cows come home. If the other side has no wish for peace, well, then you are S-O-L.

I'm sorry this kid was sick, but it doesn't grant him some special intuitive powers that allow him to clearly understand things far beyond his years.

For Jimmah to have exploited this kid's funeral in the manner in which he did is disgraceful. But then, Carter and disgraceful seem to be synonymous.

FAFVB, you said, "911? Is the Snow ball effect from his impotence during the Iran affair!"

I was 18 years old in 1976, and due to the legal voting age having been lowered, I voted for the first time.

I VOTED FOR GERALD FORD.

I might have been young, but I recognized a terrible president when I saw one.

I read a post by a leftist who is bragging about how advanced their child is for understanding an issue the same way they do. Not once do they consider that it is their own ideas that are on the level of children.

Yes these people live in a fantasy world were we could all live in peace if we just talk to each other and get to know each other.

You do not make peace with a dictator. You depose him, contain him, join his followers, become his subject or die.

Dictators do not recognize peace. They recognize strength or weakness.

Carter always showed them weakness.

Mr. Carter is our worst president of modern times, second only to Lyndon Baines Johnson, who started our modern welfare giveaway system.

"He then went on to talk down to the optometrists and chided them for not providing free vision screening for pre-schoolers "

All the while charging $7 to visit his *wonderful* library.

When Jim-mae goes, traffic won't pull over and come to a stand still to watch his motorcade. His motorcade will have to maneuver through the traffic while cars are honking at it to get out of their way.

Carter's not senile, he's brain-damaged. He's a pathetic back-bencher who never nade a positive difference. History will judge Jimmy Carter as a feckless and incompetent abberration of American politics who made the world a more dangerous place. But his post-presidential behavior takes him to a traitorous level.

I'm sick and tired of people praising this snivelling dwarf simply because he builds homes for the needy. He will be remembered as a jerkwater weirdo who suffered greatly from hammering nails into plywood with his own forehead. Jimmy Carter is simultaneously a dimbulb and a weasel.

So that explains it. When Russia took Afghanistan and Khomeni took all those Americans hostage, Jimmy Dum-Dum wasn't a sniveling, grovelling, spineless coward,he was planning for peace. He should of explained that to us back in 1980. That way, he would only have lost by 200 EVs. What a frikking waste of oxygen.

Show Mattie a little respect; he suffered pretty badly, and it's nice that he enjoyed a little limelight in his short life. This is about Carter's shortcomings, not a dead little boy's. Mattie was a precocious child--- but a child, nonetheless... naive... He can't really be held responsible for his misdirected worship. But that's just MY 2¢. As for Carter, you are right on.

Once again the democrats demonstrate that each time one thinks that they can sink no lower, they prove that they can.

The actions of, or rather the inactions of carter is why we are in the mess we are in over there today.

His refusal to act when our embassy was attacked and occupied in Iran set the stage for what is happening now.
