Did I hear a story tonight that reported Saddam was getting antsy the closer they got to the 30th?
If so he might be suffering a fit about now.

It's always fun to watch them go into a melt down.
To: Groutrig
The new Iraq government will have total legal control of Saddam, but we will still keep control of his captivity.

When the Media announces American casualties, they wrap up their story with, "...which makes X soldiers killed since President Bush proclaimed an end to major combat operations".
Now they'll say, "...which makes X soldiers killed since President Bush transferred sovereignty to Iraq..."
Same spin, different day.

Shouldn't the Iraqis be allowed to have some sort of , I dunno, celebration right now? Maybe not including firing weapons into the air..., maybe fireworks?

Let us all wish the best of luck to this new Iraqi government. THey have to step up and assert control over this large country. This is a great day for freedom, and I hope this country prospers.

So, I wonder if Saddam's prison guard just woke him up with the news? I wonder how it was broken to him?
To: txflake
Now comes the hard part. How long will this government last? How long til the first assassination? How long until Iraq insures its own security? In terms of work, it's all uphill from here.
So yeah, I think they deserve a day of celebration now.
