IRAQ HANDOVER 'TODAY'
The handover of power in Iraq is to be brought forward to today.
A formal announcement will be made later today, Tony Blair said.
The handover of power to the Iraqi government was supposed to take place on June 30.

The informal announcement was made by Iraq's foreign minister Hoshyar Zebari.
The handover of power to an interim Iraqi government was supposed to take place on June 30.
But it is thought that the fact that world leaders are all gathered in Turkey for the Nato summit pushed the issue.

By all intent and purpose it was practically done already but this is great news and very clever if I may add.
