I see nothing about implanted chips but have heard some people who believe this chapter to refer to this sort of technology. I have a hard time buying this. So if the chip is implanted somewhere other than the forehead or right hand then it's ok? Makes no sense to me. But granted, I'm no biblical scholar or anything close to it.

The mark is symbolic, understanding the Old Testament (Ezekiel 9:4-6) helps in understanding Revelation. There may be reasons the chip wouldn't work or could be feared but it isn't unscriptural to have one. Now back to the problem at hand.
