BAGHDAD, Iraq An Arab satellite TV network broadcast a videotape Sunday showing a blindfolded man in military fatigues and said he was a U.S. Marine taken hostage in Iraq.
There was no immediate comment from the U.S. military, but the video showed a card identifying the man by a Pakistani name and as an "active duty" Marine. The man had a trimmed moustache and his eyes were covered with a white blindfold.
The Al-Jazeera network said the group claimed it infiltrated a Marine outpost, lured the man outside and abducted him. The station said the group demanded the release of all Iraqis "in occupation jails" or the man would be killed.
The group identified itself as "Islamic Response," the security wing of the "1920 Revolution Brigades" referring to the uprising against the British after World War I.

I might have rephrased that and explained myself better - forgive me.
"Intelligence gathering" is understood to be "outsourced" as you put it, but this is not my real concern here.
My concern is foreign nationals on the payroll who do much more than simple intelligence gathering. Situations where we are forced to have foreigners having direct access to sensitive information.
You will find very few American citizens working as translators - it is not because we dont have citizens to do the work, we have but our government prefers to hire those outside the US.
You might find it surprising that we are recruiting translators in Saudi Arabia and Pakistan now among other countries and offering these people a fast track to citizenship.

Mustaches are being sometimes allowed because we want to be PC and the mustache is supposedly a sign of adulthood or some crap in arab culture.

That ID doesn't look like the one I have. Ive been out since 98 but it doesn't look right. Anyone help with this?
I am not sure what ID card you have, but in the last year they are issuing a new electronic/Smart CAC (common access card) for military.
I can't find a picture of the card they are showing so I can't confirm if that is the type this supposed marine has.

I don't think "beheading" is the correct word there. I think the words are "sawing off their heads." Yes. Beheading is not an accurate description. I'm betting that most of the liberal left have not watched the actual act, and think that this is some type of guillotine thing.
It's not.

When do we take out the television stations that show these tapes? When does some begin to back track on whoever and however these tapes are delivered and locate the source.
Until we throw away the books on the rules of engagement and do whatever it takes to kill these vermin, our side is at an unacceptable disadvantage.
Let's either do it right or else just give up-pucker up and practice kissing the enemy on whichever cheek they turn.

Islam recommends men to wear facial hair because it distinguishes them from women. I know it sounds weird but that's what they believe.

America is the most determinedly monolingual culture in the world--the vast majority of Americans refuse to learn any language besides English (and many refuse to learn anything beyond the bare minimum necessary to graduate high school).
Most of the folks who speak Arabic and who are American citizens are leftist-whackjob college professors who teach Arabic. One problem we're having in getting translators is that universities are refusing to cooperate with the Department of Defense--several schools have flatly refused to allow active-duty military personnel to enroll in classes in Arabic, Pashto, Urdu, or Dari. The leftists have decided that the War on Terror is an opportunity to reprise the glory days of protesting Vietnam.
You might find it surprising that we are recruiting translators in Saudi Arabia and Pakistan now among other countries and offering these people a fast track to citizenship.
Utterly unsurprising, given that a Saudi is more likely to speak English well enough to be a translator than an American is likely to speak Arabic well enough to be a translator.

Then federal funds should be cut or totally eliminated.

I noticed in one picture they didn't even have his hands secured. He certainly has a lot of hair for a Marine as well.

"A lot of Americans hated Truman for using the atom bomb on Japan but there was none of the hate and vitriol that is being thrown at Bush.(Yes,I was around then)." I wasn't around then, but I know you are spot on. What we see today in the division between the right and left isn't political anymore, it's spiritual and moral warfare. In essense there is a bloodless civil war going on in America, created and fueled by leftists, atheists, socialists, communists, feminists and homosexuals. The Islamofacist terrorists see and understand this division quite well, and they are playing it like a trump card. I pray it will blow up in their faces, somehow.

My thoughts exactly. Give the people that want to get out of Fallujah a chance to leave and those that don't want to leave will just have to suffer the consequences.

This situation is getting ridiculous, I think we should concede, and propose:
Dear Any Hostage taking Terrorist,
We concede you can, at the drop of a hat, take a hostage wherever, whenever and whoever you want. We the US Hostage Negotiation Team would like to put forth the following proposal.
Upon Confirmation of the taking of ANY nations personnel hostage, the US has been given Carte Blanche to choose, wherever and whenever for the nuclear destruction of ANY Middle Eastern City of our choosing within 24 hours. In those 24 hours all military personnel and civilians both domestic and foreign are given that time to evacuate the city. However, we will not announce the city to be executed (if you will) till the 23rd hour. We have decided to start drilling in ANWR, and no longer need to be held hostage for oil. To modify an old saying Let the nuclear bombs fall where they may. We need the parking.
To all targeted cities, we would appreciate any help in recovering the hostage(S) ALIVE. using any means necessary. Only after the hostage(s) have been released to their respective country and medically examined to be healthy, will the responsible country for their release receive one free get out of destructive bombing free card. This will be the ONLY way to receive this card. And it can only be used once. If there is additional help in capturing sought after terrorists, upon the handing over of said terrorists the situation will be dealt with on a case by case basis.
We the US Hostage Negotiation Team would like to thank you for your time. And causing us to have a much clearer picture of the situation.
Have A Nice day! :o)
