"..but now the animal whackos know that really loud tantrum throwing will result in them getting their way."
EXCUSE ME. I'm not an animal wacko - but I have a heart and a soul - something the idiot who thought this up apparently lacks.
If Schwarzenegger wants to save money, he should set up a special CHIPS units to arrest and detain illegeal aleins for deportation and fortify Kalifornia's southern border.

"One life saved made another life better."
How beautifully put. Yes her life saved did make my life better. I, in fact, cannot imagine life without her now. God bless you too.

Regarding your not living in California, you said: "That's irrelevant whether this is would be a good law change." But where you live is highly relevant, because you also said "I don't want my taxpayer dollars to subsidize people being irresponsible with their pets." As you don't live in California, you're not subsidizing any of this.

It's perfectly acceptable to kill human fetuses by the millions, but kill one puppy and the public is outraged. What a perverse culture we live in. One note Nelly.

A proposal that wouldn't have harmed 1 single animal more than the previous law did, and would have saved millions for local governments that chose to goto 3 days, gets pulled off the table because of pressure from the kook-wing. He could have saved more by proposing to cut the illegal aliens off of the Cali welfare tit, but I guess he's too afraid to do something real.

You are an ass. The law just isn't about people walking in to adopt an animal; it would have had a bigger impact on people who's cat or dog gets out and away. Instead of having 6 days to figure out which nightmare shelter they are at, you'd only have 3.
And before you say anything about responsible owners, my pets are chipped.

LMAO! Losing the argument on money, you immediately jump on the abortion point.
Want to know how Arnold could save us some real money? Close the border and quit paying for the illegals to have 10 kids each.
