Not sure if anyone else was listening but they said that he said that when talking to Leahy over Halliburton. The VP's office admited that the conversation was heated, but not to the language.

They just go on and on,repeating it over and over. But they'll rationalize it by saying that they don't pretend to be for family values, therefore it is okay for them to say it. Republicans campaign on a platform of family values which makes it bad if they say it.

Solicitor General Ted Olson submitted his resignation, effective in July (the only newsworthy item in the newsbreak on CNN).

I prefer the work of another man in the administration:
The poetry of d.h. rumsfeld
"reports that say that something hasn't happened are always interesting to me, because as we know there are known knowns there are things we know we know we also know there are known unknowns that is to say we know there are some things we do not know but there are also unknown unknowns -- the ones we don't know we don't know" -Department of Defense briefing, 12 Feb 2002

They've got it down pat, don't they? The left can sure dish it out, but they can't take it.

No reason given for Olson's resignation. It's a horrendously stressful job, made more difficult by his wife's death on 9/11.

Let's see a show of hands of all the senators who have NEVER used that word. Very interesting.
To: plain talk
... and Leahy could try to get Cheney reprimanded for a personal attack in the sanctimony of the Senate building, yada yada yada, go on the floor and whine etc The dems will find a way to use this even though their candidate uses the word because they will play lawyerly legal games with where the word was used and to whom etc.
To: jonsie
Didn't Senator Leahy had problems with ethics committee and release
of secret information to the press? He blabbed a bit too much about things he should not have discussed. I would rather have had him use a swear than spill secret info.
To: Snardius
Yes!
They (Leahy and ilk) need to git ovah thayselves.

Poor baby. I'm sure it blistered Leahy's pristine ears.

This reminds me of an old joke that still cracks me up.
Did you hear what happened to Maybelline?
Max Factor.

"Franken?" That would be "F***en Franken"
To: oldironsides
Yep. He lost his chairmanship of the Intelligence Committee. What a slap on the wrist for his actions. Should have been made to resign from the Senate. IMHO
