I have mixed emotions about this.

Why should republicans use the arguments Hillary used to hide her health care task force records?

[I have not followed the Cheney case so I realize this might not be a valid comparision.]

Despite her own feelings on the subject, Hillary Clinton was not a member of the executive branch, which consists of the president and the vice-president.

You are correct, it's not a valid comparison.

Hilary was not an elected official.

The president and the vice president and members of his cabinet are entitled to advice that is not going to be made public. There will be no one willing to give advice if it's going to be fodder for the america hating media.

Because Hillary was not an elected Govt official.

Govt officials are allowed to have private consultations...and rightly so.

There's no comparison. The Energy proposal was drafted totally within the Executive Branch by govt employees, not outsiders.

The Dems are trying to pretend that somehow Enron wrote it. That's simply not true.

Meanwhile the Plan has been sitting in the Senate "dead" for three years.

Who do you think the Dems will try to blame for the next blackout(and ther will be more of them)?????

This was distinguished at the time. Hillary was not in an elected office of the executive branch. BIG difference.

Because Cheney actually holds an official office entitled to such protections where the Beast was a civillian usurping power.

It isn't. Hillary tried to radically change public policy by socializing healthcare. Since she was not elected, she had no mandate as per our Constitution.

In attempting to fix Clinton's nuzto energy policy, Vice President Cheny had the mandate and was doing his job.

One incident was unconstitutional, one is not.

BIG major difference between Hillary's healthcare and Cheney's energy .. Hillary was NOT AN ELECTED OFFICIAL OF THE GOVERNMENT - she was just the wife of the president. She did not have the power or authority to hold such a meeting, and she certainly did not have the power or authority to keep it private.

Cheney, however, WAS AN ELECTED OFFICIAL OF THE GOVERNMENT, and as such he is allowed to hold meetings without having to reveal who attended the meeting. Remember, it was the environmentalists who filed the suit .. because none of them were invited to the energy meeting. They wanted to know who Cheney met with .. and it was none of their business.
