Breaking from Al Jazeera.

Who can say what one would do under similar circumstances, but I would hope that I would have the courage and resolve to tell these bastards to go eff themselves and fight and kick and scream until they stopped me, or did whatever they were going to do anyway - anything I could to avoid any kind of cooperation with them. No video, no jumpsuit, nothing..
I didn't mean to imply that we've done nothing. I suspect special ops forces are working night and day over there and from what Bush has said, they've had significant victories. But...Bush is losing the propaganda war over the kidnap victims. Just this afternoon the radio was trumpeting a new poll that America's lost patience with the war. Too many American casualties, too much trouble and bad news, so Iraq isn't worth it.
We have to do something overt and nasty (besides bombing that safe house in Fallujah...that was great, by the way, but not enough,)to stop the present violence and to win respect. The new Iraq govt. is taking over in what...another week? We'll have to hold their hand for months and months, and they'll be targeted day and night by these same terrorists. If we could figure out something to prevent attacks, we'd be helping Iraq along the road to peaceful democracy.
That said, this tactic of kidnapping, beheading, pictures at six on Al Jazeera or whatever, won't stop until they decide either it's not working, or too many of their pals end up dead. Let's hope Bush and company can win the propaganda war at home. I can't even come up with words to describe how angry all this makes me.
Back to your extremely good point about Fallujah, that's the second time we hit them hard there. What we need is no more PC nonsense, no fighting this war with both hands behind our back. Muslims reserve the right to cheat, lie, and basically act like vermin. Any treaties they sign they'll proudly break the first chance they get. If the positions were reversed, they would've dropped half a dozen nukes on us months ago. Well, I guess that horror is coming, according to what TV talking heads were discussing a few days ago. Dirty nukes are cheap and easy to make, Al Qaeda will use them in America sooner or later. And if they do carry out a successful attack here before the election, and if voters decide Bush should have acted to prevent it, then Kerry will probably win. Sorry for the rant. I'm angry and frustrated and wish I could come up with a magic bullet to solve this whole mess.
Precisely.
I don't know... after Spain - who used to be a true ally and knows from it's own history the real nature of the beast ... I fear Korea will assume safety on it's far peninsula and leave the middle east to others after this. They will march against US tomorrow - I can almost guarantee it. As if leaving Saddam in power would have prevented this from ever happening. It would have just happened later, closer to home.
I fear that is not going on because these animals are getting bolder with each and every atrocity. As for flattening cities, I think we need to at least flatten something.
I could live without them, or just the links, but I don't think it plays into al Qaidas hands. They distribute them to arouse their supporters, it's a positive image. Seeing them here has the opposite effect, it arouses our indignation against al Qaida. Though mutilating bodies has been going on for years in that region, most people here aren't aware of the nature of our enemy. It's not so bad they're exposed to it.
Genocide was a well used tactic long before the Nazi's came to power.
Personally, I'm willing to allow that individual muslims can be salvaged, but the ideology of islam must die.
Actually, it didn't work all that well.
and for the record - how many iraqis you think are willing to cooperate with the new gov these days or rat out their former slavemasters with this kind of mob rule occurring right in Baghdad? That is why we do not have the WMD's.
So I ask you & others here, do you go to the movies, do you buy newspapers with a leftist slant (mostly all), do you watch the alphabet channels? If so you are an accomplice.
This is SO horrible.
I don't have a problem with that. I don't think that bombing Iraqi cities will do the trick, though. In fact, it would undoubtedly strengthen the ideology of Islam.
These Islamic a-holes are all suspect, every last stinkin one of them until they start dropping a dime on the terrorists and jackels amongst them. Until them, I will assume their complicity in these horrors the same way I consider the German people did during WWII, regardless of their phony denials.
Step 1
Approach Fallujah
Step 2
Then did he raise on high the Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch, saying, "Bless this, O Lord, that with it thou mayst blow thine enemies to tiny bits, in thy mercy." ... Now did the Lord say, "First thou pullest the Holy Pin. Then thou must count to three. Three shall be the number of the counting and the number of the counting shall be three. Four shalt thou not count, neither shalt thou count two, excepting that thou then proceedeth to three. Five is right out. Once the number three, being the number of the counting, be reached, then lobbest thou the Holy Hand Grenade in the direction of thine foe, who, being naughty in my sight, shall snuff it."
That's ridiculous. If that were true we'd have a Japan and German problem right now. What are you smoking? Oh, and btw, taking out their cities would include their leaders. Yeesh.
Bush may well be losing the propaganda war - but that has more to do with the WHs poor communications war room (or lack of it), then any reality on the ground. we all know the media is biased of course.
but when stuff like this happens, Bush should immediately walk into the press room and give a statement. He can't allow the media to blame these deaths on him and get that into the news cycle for the sheeple as they go hoem from work and get the news on their car radios. But again, the WH has no media strategy.
Prayers sent for Kim Sun Il & his family. May God place Kim among the Christian martyrs until Christ returns.
As for the remaining hostages, they're already dead, or will be soon. They will not be released--rescued possibly, but not released. We will see this kidnap/beheading trend continue.
Their hearts are broken...
Different kind of war indeed. In past wars I never heard of a sitting President land on a aircraft carrier with a banner "Mission Accomplished". In hindsight that was a poor decision and should only been done when the ship was heading home. I still back the President but don't always agree.
