Speaking of savages, I have heard a very disturbing story from two independent sources that I trust. Two people who served in Iraq in different units (MPs and Psyops) told me that a favorite "insurgent" (pronounced "terrorist") tactic is to take a small child (4-6 years old), injure or maim them (by cutting off an arm according to one source who said he was an eyewitness), strap a remote-controlled bomb to the child, wait until a soft-hearted GI approached, and blow up the bomb. I was told one victims name and home state (name I forgot, home state is AL) and that he was killed during a patrol near Fallujah.

Has anyone else heard stories like this? If it is true (as I believe it is, since I completely trust the sources), why isn't this released to the press? (I know why the press would try to suppress it, but I see no signs the military has tried to release the story).

Some woman emailed Shep in a snit because he described the beheading death in some detail a little while ago.

Good for Shep.....he said that would be censorship and that the American people should not only hear the details, but if it were up to him, the photos would be up also.

He had the fatal flaw, in their eyes, of being an American. I don't think it would have made a difference to them if he had become a convert to Islam or not. He was useful to them only in that he was an American who they could kill for their own purposes.
