You have been reporting on the Mary Cheney comment, that was all that was out there.
BTW I still think that was a Kerry "Stratergy".
We all missed it, I heard about it today on Rush, 3rd hour I think.
Franken says he's having a hard time sorting through it, there is no shame in being gay, and Kerry was building on what Edwards said directly to Cheney in their debate. Franken says theres a bit of manufactured criticism, and that's ugly.
Barr says, this whole episode is bizarre, in the middle of an election, with a war going on....they're discussing what gay means...we need to get this over with, talking about the real issues. Barr is NOT defending the cheney's, and Al Franken agrees entirely wiwth Barr. hahah, aren't we all clever? THIS IS DESPICABLE!!!! Shame on Bob Barr and on Wolf BLILTZER for not having on a true spokesman for the Cheney posistion, to counter Franken.
Amber McClenny, sent phone message to her family. They are holding us against our will, she told her Mama. 343th Maintenance, Rockhill SC unit. The soldiers had some valid concerns, "Temporary breakdown" the commander says.....the reporter suggests this might be the start of breakdown in command in Iraq. Very ominous report!!
CNN had reported it earlier...by Barbara Starr on Wolf Blitzer show.
50,000 lost jobs have been recovered in Wisconsin, which might explain why Kerry's gloom and doom message on the economy isn't working there.
Kerry said today in a Des Moines Register audio interview: "there's still great potential the President will revive the draft."
on FOXEvening News. Republican Mitch Daniels running for Governor in Indiana. running against Joe Kernan. It's neck and neck, and Mitch Daniels has innovative tv shows with him traveling the state.
On FOX news, Charles Krauthammer says the 10,000 lawyers the democrats have at the ready to fight the election process. Jeff Birnbaum says Republicans have 10,000 too, at the ready. The republicans said today the democrats have a plan in place to disenfranchise the military votes. Nearly 70% of military approve the president, according to Annenberg, and that's why the democrats want to disenfranchise the military vote.
commercial: "OH IT HURTS ME SO BAD".."I CAN FEEL IT WAY DOWN IN MY SHOES", speaks for me :)
In 2000 Mass voted to prevent felons from voting, just factoid to pull out when some democrat tells you it's a Florida thing.
Des Moines Register has a recording of John Kerry saying he doesn't like Mary Cahill's characterization of Mary Cheney as fair game. Mort Kondracke says Edwards used the same 'fair game" language.
The debates put John Kerry back in the game, Andrea Mitchell said, after weeks of those Swiftboaters pounding on him. Not quite closed the deal, he's got to keep working, but if some events happen outside this country, it could have an impact.
Mitchell says yes, that could happen, something bad in Iraq, because of necessity, the president has to speak positively about what's going on in Iraq, so a surprise there could hurt the president.
Yes, "the liberal" tag does help Bush with his base. The president used "liberal" for that purpose.
Andrea Mitchell thinks Kerry was trying to put a human face on homosexuality, he didn't mean to hurt Mary Cheney, andrea mitchell said, and with a straight face!
. Mitchell agrees with Matthews, that Bush is about ready to give up on Pennsylvania...a 4 point spread. She said there is a 9 to 1 democrat lead in registering voters in Philadelphia alone. a net of 150,000 new voters and most are democrats. A lot of them on college campuses. a Big get out the vote effort here in Philadelphia. Mitchell predicts Kerry will win Penn.
Next guest: Charlie Cook Reports. Cook says 10 states could go either way, that's 118 electoral votes. (I couldn't catch which states he named)
Charlie Cook says another bad week in iraq like last week, and he doesn't think Bush can win. But then Charlie Cook says there was an up tick in the numbers for Bush last night, which if repeated tonight, could be very good news for Bush. Cook says he's very interested in seeing those numbers tonight.
This is your daily ping for Monday October 18, 2004
Monday on Imus:
6:29 - George Carlin
8:29 - Kinky Friedman
Pretty weak lineup.
I'm going to be on a business trip to the Boston, MA area this week. I'll check in when I can.
Good Morning, McGruff!
I got up too late to watch the BookTV segment where Michael Moore had the C-SPAN cameras turned off but watched the following talk by the author of "Michael Moore is a big fat stupid white man." Now, I just decided to stay up for last night's Booknotes with McCaslin at 6am. I may have to miss Carlin. He's always fun to listen to.
Have a safe trip to Boston.
Reporter traveling with the Kerry campaign, Carl Quintanilla on The TODAY Show, said the race is still neck and neck.
That's what Chuck Todd from the "Hotline" is saying this morning on C-SPAN.
I can't wait to see CNN's Bill Schneider spin himself into a pretzel today, explaining what has happened to the numbers since last Wednesday. (And man oh man, I do remember Howard Fineman telling Keith Obermeyer that the Mary Cheney story wouldn't last through the week-end.)
Jimmy Carter and Charles Gibson on ABCommunist morning show right now...puke.
All I wanted from my t.v. this am was a weather forecast.
Do not watch that stuff. It will stunt your evolution. ;)
Very, very interesting and predictable. Sounds like good morning fare...
I added commentary to another thread specifically talking about my favorite peanut farmer, it went like this:

Oh, Jimmy: There He Goes Again (Jimmy Carter, America-bashing hypocrit) ^

Jimmy Carter and Charles Gibson on ABCommunist morning show today...Carter says (in new book?) that the American Revolutionary War didn't need to be fought (total pacifist nightmare Communist POS weasel effing peanut humping turd mother!) and now is talking election and voting...I hate Communists probly more than Muhammadans...I'll expound on that over time...Whew, survived 10 minutes with Jimmy and Charles...phewwwww.
>>>
I survived it O.K., thanks...lol
Jimmah is off his nut. You are obviously doing just fine as witnessed by the parenthetical rant.
(rant valve)
LOL
Did he really say we didn't need the American Revolution? What? Has the peanut oil finally saturated his brain?
Yes, and he put it IN THE CONTEXT of the Iraq War...sad, sad, sad person that the peanut fried brain reduces one to.
The Hornet's Nest: A Novel of the Revolutionary War
by Jimmy Carter
I'll wait for the "Conservative's Quick Guide to Stupid Communists' Books" version myself...
Tony Blankley will be on C-SPAN's Washington Journal at 7:45am Eastern.
