Guess no one at the Democratic National Committee took a close look at the calendar: That July 26 salute to Teddy just happens to coincide with . . . the 35th anniversary of Chappaquiddick.Too funny! :)
hmmm....idea for anyone who might want to FReep the event. Show up wearing life vests?

Rumor has it that he's driving to the center in his Oldsmobile with Personalized Plates - MARY JO
I hope this "celebration" isn't moved. Ted Kennedy should have spent a good portion of his life in prison for driving poor Mary Jo into the water and leaving her there. For some reason, I doubt the RATS tribute will mention the anniversary. But WE will.
HEHEHE. You just can't make this stuff up...the irony is delicious.
Guess no one at the New York Post took a close look at the date Chappaquiddick actually happened, either! ;) Unless you define the anniversary as being a week, and not a day, their anniversary info is incorrect. Chappaquiddick actually happened on the evening of July 18/morning of July 19, 1969, and Ted pled guilty to failure to report the accident on July 25. None of these dates coincides with the July 26 Kennedy salute.
July 26th is the day Fats Teddy learned the backstroke and has been taking us backward ever since.
I'm not trying to bust anyone's bubble here but the date of the infamous party was July 18th, Mary Jo was found on the 19th and we landed on the moon on the 20th. On July 25th, Kennedy made his national televised speech because he was finally "free to tell what happened."
This is not to take anything away from what Kennedy did (I've been there, took tons of pictures at the cabin, the bridge, the ferry, the motel etc.) but the Post simply has the date wrong.
Also the first line posted by baynative states: "Two important events happened in the spring of 1969. Man walked on the moon and Mary Jo Kopechne died near Chappaquiddick Island in Massachusetts." Obviously July is not in the "spring of 1969."
Again not trying to be critical but, as the saying goes, "Facts are stubborn things."
Oh, they noticed. This is the Dem Elites way of telling "we the sheeple" that they are the ruling class and can commit crimes with immunity.
OMG! Imus will have a field day.
Had Teddy gone to the great DUI tank in the sky, the GOP would have taken back the Senate.
Poor, poor Ted
we just heard the news
Could it be that hes had too much booze
He holds a seat that the RATS may lose
Teddys liver
Hey Jane Swift, dear, are you all set
You will soon get your chance, we bet
Poor Tom Daschle
his pants are all wet
Teddys liver
Teddys liver, Teddys liver
his doc says it is pretty bad
Teddys liver, Teddys liver
the vast right wing is feeling sad
If only there could be a way to hear from Mary Jo
Were sure she would say its a tragic way to go
Poor, poor Teddys liver
When hes gone, it will seem so odd
No waitress sandwich with his pal, Dodd
So raise your glass and lets give him a nod
Teddys liver
When the time comes to say goodbye
We will not see one dry eye
Like Ron Brown, will Scumbag laugh and then cry
Teddys liver
Teddys liver, Teddys liver
his doc says its pretty bad
Teddys liver, Teddys liver
the vast right wing is feeling sad
If only there could be a way to hear from Mary Jo
Were sure she would say that its a tragic way to go
Poor, poor Teddys liver
Teddys liver, Teddys liver
his doc says its pretty bad
Teddys liver, Teddys liver
the right wing is feeling sad
Ted Kennedy was the first one to tell both O.J. Simpson and Scott Peterson they COULD get away with murder.
They would have never realized it had the intelligence of FR folk pointed it out to them...LOL.
Fate is a fickle finger.
