The more I read this, the more scary this seems. Will our President say one single word in defense of our sovereignty?
Did President Bush not say just a few months ago that Mexico is our good friend?
One has to wonder what is really going on here.
Who then blow those dollars on rooster fights.
I don't know guy. He has ignored obvious problems for four years. I can't explain it. He's given the other side a number of issues they can skewer him with. If they do, what will he say? If Kerry roasted Bush over illegal immigration, what could Bush say? I wince when I hear about the 1-2% inspections at our borders and ports. We have Iraqi nationals coming across our southern border, Chinese too. I've been saying this for four years, and the loyalists have been fit to be tied. I didn't think they were doing him any favors then, and I don't think it's good for him now. Let's just hope the other side doesn't cash in on it.
Some here have suggested these recent raids are token actions to pacify conservatives.
I think that's true but - not the whole story.
We'll enforce immigration laws to a point, just enough to get the attention of radical activists and foreign governments. (This has been accomplished)
The next step will be the White House announcing a cease-fire and saying they want no part in violating the human rights of foreign nationals.
Token enforcement then, look see, it's politically unfeasable to continue.
Just my opinion.
