I really feel a great deal of pain for catholics. I just can't help but feel that catholics as a whole are getting a bad rap.

This needs to happen. Change won't occur until the evil elements are driven out of the Church...

I just can't help but feel that catholics as a whole are getting a bad rap. Leftists in general, and media leftists in particular, absolutely hate the Catholic Church.
However, if this is going on, and there's yet another coverup, I'd say the Catholic Church has nobody to blame but itself, and they've broken faith with their flock.

You're correct. The homosexuals successfully infiltrated the church in the 60's and we are all now reaping the whirlwind.

Don't feel sorry for us
I am a neophyte to the Catholic faith but I kinda welcome this. It has been clear to me for some time that all mainline denominations are suffering from rot from within. I learned in medicine that when a wound is infected you have to clean it out. It is painful, unpleasant and at times it smells but it has to be done to save the patient. The Church will loose stature for a while but corrupt bishops shouldn't have stature in the community anyway. With luck and a strong debreeding the bishops left standing (or their replacements) will be stronger and can begin to rebuild.

Catholic parishoners are just people moving along in life and doing the best they can. Its the heirarchy from top to bottom that deserve this bad rap. Everyone owes it to themselves and their family to do a serious examination of this religon as well as all other religions.
