To: Graymatter
For the younger set who don't know---that painting was in Picture of Dorian Gray, a movie so old that Angela Lansbury played a virgin.

Actually, I believe Dorian Gray was originally a character in a novel, although I'm not sure which one or even if that's right. I do know however, that that character and a version of the picture were used in The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen and the subplot involving Dorian Gray was, in my opinion, one of the only good things in that movie.

By famous author Oscar Wilde. At least he used to be famous :) Still good for a million hits on Google, check him out! Very funny fellow.

My favorite line of Wilde's, good line for anti-peace-movement purposes: "Conscience and cowardice are really the same things. Conscience is the trade-name of the firm. That is all."
