WIFE DUMPS BLOWHARD RUSH
The New York Post ^ | June 11, 2004 | Richard Johnson

Posted on 06/12/2004 1:32:23 PM PDT by NavySEAL F-16

RUSH Limbaugh put out a statement yesterday that he and his third wife, Marta, had separated — but only after PAGE SIX called to confirm what we'd learned exclusively. Sources in Palm Beach say Marta dumped the burly blowhard and vacated the couple's home on North Ocean Boulevard. The two are quietly working out a divorce agreement. Limbaugh met Marta on the Internet and they married in 1994. Since

"I can't believe that you guys automatically think it's her fault. That's the mentality that makes women leave men."

That's because we've all seen this before. Some gold digger comes along and takes some poor dope for all he's worth. The truth is, all marriages have their problems, and not all of them can be worked out. In an earlier post, someone mentioned that when Rush met Marta, she was married. She then left her husband to be with him. If I was Rush, I sure would not have trusted her after that.

What are the odds that Limbaugh will have a guest host

"Pretty trashy article. Rush announcing on Reagan's day wasn't awfully classy either. "

Did he say anything on his show? If he did, I missed it.

What is worse, Rush's problem with his wives or Clinton's multiple adulteries--all "allowed" and possibly facilitated by his miserable wife? Hitlery knew from the beginning that Bill wandered from slut to slut, yet she stayed around. Not even Monica stopped her from staying in power through her mega-immoral hubby.

Plus, Harrison Ford did not have a fortune when he married so probably no pre-nup.

I swear that fame today is pretty much a curse.

Rush grew to love the warm glow of his brain drenched in dopamine. Dopamine is the brains drug of choice or whatever chemical causes it to be released.

He probably caused his own hearing impairment and showed poor judgment by dint of his addiction by dealing with the maid.

Further Marta was kind enough to hang on long enough for Rush to get back on his feet.

I don't think any court will be kind to Rush who did not disclose this to his own wife.

He has suffered well enough for putting Conservatives on the map.

Finally whether you like It of not, Rush is a genius in what he does and has an intuitive understanding of the Left. He is actually a brilliant guy, but not the Ivy type the Left just loves.

He needs to be left alone. Tough thing is that he is a huge target and his no anonymity.

He needs to set up shop in Georgia and have a huge place on Kiawah Island. I don' really see Rush in Miami.

This is my personal opinion. A woman should marry for love and not wealth. I'm not saying money because a man should have a job, but he doesn't have to be Donald Trump :) If I was married and my husband got into the problems that Rush did, I would support him 100%. I feel sorry for Rush that at one point he felt the only support he had was his cats.

Mrs. IOTN and I met on-line as well.

Of course, this has nothing to do with Rush and Marta...I'm just adding to the conversation.

Ford had to pony up so much is cause he was cheating on his wife.

Cheating, Gambling, Fighting, Drugging or just changed her mind about Rush. I don't think it really matters. She will be entitled to half the wealth he earned since they have been married.

Opiates don't suppress an appetite. They dry out the intestinal tract mucous membranes after long-term usage. My mom was a victim of them."

My condolences. My own mothers drug of choice was alcohol. She had the Irish gene and a very melancholy disposition. Needless to say, her life was cut short.

I often wondered on which neurotransmitter that LSD worked on is seritonin. Seems most are dopamine related.

I'm female and if she's planning a tell-all book (rushed out to be right in time for the November election maybe?), I will definitely think it's her fault. Rush wasn't super rich when they married 10 years ago. Thanks to him she has lived a pretty lavish lifestyle (especially the florida move, mansion and all) and she got business opportunities she wouldn't have gotten otherwise. Who would have heard of Marta at all if Rush hadn't - out of love for his wife - promoted her design and magazine ideas? I feel sorry for Rush (only secondarily am I thinking "He's back on the market! Woo-hoo!").

Considering the source of this article, NY Slimes

Let's hear what Rush says before we make judgements based on the NYT.

Guys. This was from our buddies at the NY Post.

Been married 31 years...Dated 3 years prior...just to see if we were compatible...turns out we are and am still deeply in love with my one and only wife!...Internet Wife?...sounds like a match made by Western Union!

In the months before I married my husband, I worked for a "family law" firm. Their specialty -- divorce cases which included child molestation accusation. Humph. So much for "family law."

When I would type up the pleadings I found myself wondering, "what would I do in this situation?" I quit a few weeks later.

One thing I learned is that a divorce is a form of death. Something dies in a relationship -- its got to be grieved before moving on. I felt terrible for those kids who were torn apart, because custody never lets you put it behind you.

I hope nothing but the best for Rush and Marta, BOTH of them. They've got enough to pick up without outsiders throwing darts.

Kiawah's over in SC.

He needs to get his OWN island along the GA coast. There are lots of them available!

Rush will be 80 before he learns his lesson:)

You're probably right. :-) He can be real funny but I bet he can be hard to live with. Looking at him from this side of the screen is as close as I want to get to him. LOL!

Funny you should mention that.

I work in the justice system, and judges I know say that 15-20 years ago you almost NEVER saw a false accusation of child molestation in connection with a divorce. Now it seems like every doggone divorce case has the ex-wife-to-be raising molestation allegations almost as a matter of course. It's to the point that even the expert witnesses for the State in criminal trials are testifying that an acrimonious divorce is one of the 'markers' for false accusations.

Like the accusations of "date rape", this sort of accusation just makes it that much more difficult for the kids who really are victims . . . and harder for the justice system to sort out the actual criminals.
