My blue eyed red haired daughter did that to me also. Kids hungry and tried do that.

The baby was screaming, 'Mommy, Mommy, Mommy,´ and fussing, trying to get out of the hands of the woman holding her, he said.... Something like this does need to be examined.

I suppose now that parents who have adopted children of a different racial makeup will have to carry the adoption papers with them when they travel. Hmm....
OTOH, this sounds like the little kid who sat next to me on a long flight. Screamed the entire way, then blew its lunch on my lap just before we landed.

There is a lot of human trafficking going on these days. You can't fly without a birth certificate, or so I have heard.
And yes, the Chinese do sell their kids...

Mommy, Mommy, Mommy Would a kidnapped two year old Chinese be crying "Mommy" in English?

Considering the reports of the trade in children, the police acted properly. I'd rather have them err on side of caution. To scream racism is absurd. That charge has been used so frequently it is becoming meaningless.

Good point. And, BTW, this was not a racist act. Our Prof is just looking for some $$$

I'm white and have an adopted Chinese daughter.
The question is, would they have done the same to a non-mixed race couple? That is more likely to be a case of abduction than the one described in the article.

You're joking, right? If this were a criterion, someone would have been kicked off of virtually every flight I've been on in the last 10 years or so...

I am curious to how the couple was groomed and dressed at the time.

Why do people have to go overseas to adopt a baby?
Don't we have American kids who need to be adopted--or is there something wrong with orphaned American kids?

More than any other country? Hadn't heard this - got a source?
To: Willie Green
I think the cops did the right thing looking into it further. If it had been a mistake then of course the cops should refund the plane ticket prices or get them new ones, give a small apology and send them on their way.

What reports are you referring to?

Would a kidnapped two year old Chinese be crying "Mommy" in English? Sure, if his parents were Americans of Chinese decent.
Question that I didn't see addressed is how long ago the child had been adopted. If it was recently it might explain the kid's behavior.

Something like this does need to be examined. Not necessarily. Just the other night my four-year-old was screaming for Mommy at the top of his lungs. She was rocking him at the time.

yup - they're aborted. You want a healthy baby, instead of a messed up older child from foster care, you adopt from abroad. You can also adopt a black baby, but you run into racial issues later on.

It is very difficult, expensive and time-consuming to adopt a child in the US. Much easier in many other countries.
