As a nation that doesn't stand on pomp and ceremony, we have with the passing of one our greatest, done a good job.

When the need arose, we provided both pomp and ceremony and celebrated the life and passing of a truly great American.

Jimmy Carter never understand the importance of the pomp and circumstance. He never understood the traditions of America. And it showed.
