From time to time, we have been tempted
to believe that society has become too
complex to be managed by self-rule, that
government by an elite group is superior
to government for, by, and of the people.
But if no one among us is capable of
governing himself, then who among us has
the capacity to govern someone else?
All of us together, in and out of
government, must bear the burden. The
solutions we seek must be equitable,
with no one group singled out to pay
a higher price.

-President Ronald Reagan
First Inaugural Address
Tuesday, January 20, 1981

Good bye President Reagan ............God Bless

You and I have a rendezvous with destiny. We will preserve for our children this, the last best hope of man on earth, or we will sentence them to take the first step into a thousand years of darkness. If we fail, at least let our children and our children's children say of us we justified our brief moment here. We did all that could be done.

God Bless President Reagan.

Thank you.

Those words are a statement of principle that sets the course, which is how you lead.

You shall know the truth and the light by the principle.
