Very simple: This thread wan't stated as a place to talk about every possible event that could cause a person to experience terror. The Thread is suppose to be about actual and potential terrorist attacks and our war against the terrorists. Note that despite the use of the word "terror" in the title of the Thread, the Thread is supposed to be about "terrorism."
If we're going to allow endless posts on meteors, then I think we should bring tornados and hurricanes into the Thread also because I know lots of people who are terrified by tornados and hurricanes, and there is always the possibility that AQ is using the airplane that they may have stolen in Africa last year to engage in a secret cloud seeding operation to increase the frequency and severity of tornados and hurricanes. Then when the big one hits all the sleeper cells will emerge to commit additional acts of terror to add to the chaos. We also need to include posts concerning dentists and rollercoasters because they are known to terrorize certain people, and lot of dentists in my area are middle eastern and rollercoasters are located in amusement parks, which are know terrorist targets. Terrifying nightmares should also on topic particularly if they involve tunnels, bridges, and airplanes, fire, or floods (all of which can be terrifying in themselves to some people, and which could), because you never know when someone's nightmare could be a premonition of the next terrorist attack.

Your definition of "endless" and mine are enormously different. Is your lack of patience with things outside your preference on a par with your hyperbole?

I think I'd probably draw the line at roller coasters. Though IF I had reason to believe terrorists had developed a plausible connection, I might conceivably post.
BTW, I suppose you have noticed--I don't recall posting a single sourced document about meteors. I have enjoyed those that were posted and may have made some comments.
I do find your hyperbole above rather cheeky and haughty. IF PC in more or less any form is going to rule this thread, then the end of it's comprehensive effectiveness is in sight.
It does appear that either I'm in the minority or that the noise and volume is on the other side.
A meteor thread will likely not work or not work near as well. The critical mass is here. The same creativity, drive, energy, interest etc. will just not be available to engage in analysis on any subordinate thread. Most of us do pretend to have lives otherwise. We have to choose our addictions.
Someone noted that the scroll key is too slow. I guess their page down key is broken.

If I feel a meteor document is important to share with this list, I will. Given that I never have, it is highly likely that I won't in the future. I will continue to appreciate any one else's perspective if they feel it worthy to post hereon.
And IF I find some roller coaster or nightmare doc, I'll be sure and post it addressed to you in +4 sized red font, just to return the cheekiness. Oh, that's right, that would violate my sensibilities and preferences. So, I won't.
