Not everything that is posted on the Arabic forums is true, it could be posted as propaganda, deliberate disinformation, etc....BUT, when something is posted on several different forums, there is a reason for it...they are trying to get the word out for one reason or another, and that is when I bring it to your attention. Re: Mubarak.

There was some event in DC that Mubarak bowed out of, at the last minute -- some meeting with GWB, maybe a month or so ago.

No reason was given, and I was thinking at the time that it was a sort of message that Mubarak was in disagreement with Bush on something.

But more likely there was a health issue that came up, if this report of his demise holds up.

I didn't even know of his illness. Wonder how long it will take our Gvoernment to announce it?
