One poster earlier today said CNN estimated 10,000. The poster said he calculated that 1.8 million will view. [He didn't say how he arrived that that.]

No guesses on totals. Metro set a record yesterday. Over 850,000 fares compared to the old record of about 811,000 for Bill Clinton's first inauguration. The average weekday ridership is about 680,000.
Last night they were moving 3,000 per hour. They've been at 5,000 per hour since this morning. If they push it a little more maybe 200,000 people or more will be able to pay their respects at the Capitol.
