LIVE THREAD: Pres. Bush pays respects and calls on Mrs. Reagan
Posted on 06/10/2004 2:28:07 PM PDT by alisasny
Alot of dignataries are now showing up to pay respects. McCain, Guiliani, Gorby, Karzai, etc.
Cspan has live coverage. Bush expected at 7 but could be earlier? He is then going to visit with Mrs. Reagan.
Guard changes about every half hour at .28 and .58 of the hour. One is going on right now.

People better wake up and realize France is an enemy of our country.. Yup, France's leadership lives to take us down a significant number of notches.
I've really had it with the French.

What a wonderful story. Your little Ben Reagan's comments have me in tears.

I am pretty sure I saw Karzai there earlier as well.
Imagine 2 leaders who now have a chance for democracy come and pay respects and the dolt from France whos country we have saved numerous times flies back to France.
ARGHHHHHHHH I will never forgive that country or travel there.

I'm not sure if the Rotunda is open for viewing all night. Did you arrive on this planet today?
From a class of '97?
Just damn.

***I heard Rush's segment today when he compared Cheney's eulogy with those given at Wellstone's "memorial". Amazing difference.***
I heard it too. I just hope the "general public" (those not as informed as we are! LOL!) hear it/see the contrast too.

Let me tell you, I've been in the military for 23 years. The first time I went to a military funeral and watched the changing of the Guard, slow, respectful, I was so moved I nearly choked. I must have soaked at least two Kleenex.
I don't know the meaning behind it, but I certainly saw it's impact.

It makes me wish I could be there even more. Can you imagine the honor of being in the presence of these two great men at the same time?

I wonder how many places will be closed tomorrow? In DC everything's closed tomorrow. Thank heaven I won't have to take a sick day...no way I could work.

Weren't you seated on the spaceship next to me? I thought you looked familiar.
