Alot of dignataries are now showing up to pay respects. McCain, Guiliani, Gorby, Karzai, etc.

Cspan has live coverage. Bush expected at 7 but could be earlier? He is then going to visit with Mrs. Reagan.

Guard changes about every half hour at .28 and .58 of the hour. One is going on right now.

Thank you so much for sharing your experience. I was in the Rotunda in March of 2001 - on an organized trip. It was so wonderful in there that nobody wanted to leave. The paintings are so full of detail that you can look at them for a long time. The decor is so beautiful.

This is a memory you will never forget!

I seriously doubt terrorists would try anything stupid tomorrow. They would awaken a national wrath like they have never seen if they tried. The lyrics to Battle Hymn of the Republic would seem like Mary Had a Little Lamb if they dare try anything tomorrow.

Hold it.....we did NOT go in........we only went up there for a while to see how things were going; we didn't finish our White House tour until almost 8:30 P.M.

But I can tell you why things may be slow..I saw about five screaming motorcades in about two hours going up there with dignitaries; I guess they stop things while they are there.

they would haul in a large group of people, then hold them in place while the VIP would come in. GWB and Laura arrived about 6:40PM. That was the longest delay, while the SS took their places.

I'm so glad my brother from Minnesota paid tribute to our President. I'm not Native American, but I am an American, and a Minnesotan. G-d bless America.

I was just wondering, since I have CSPAN on continuously all night while I'm hemming my hubby's pants. I wonder if Nancy or the family has tuned into CSPAN off and on through the day. If I was her, and probably unable to sleep, I would think it would be a comfort to her to turn it on and see the folks streaming in througout the night to pay their respects.

I have heard that all Presidents are required to make out their funeral plans while in office since the assassination of President Kennedy just in case it should happen again. I also heard that Clinton is the only one who hasn't made plans.
