Sane people? Look at the number of jackasses who voted for Al Gore.
Kerry's biggest problem is that all he's going to be able to do between now and election day is try to talk down good news on the economy and from Iraq.
I believe voters would rather vote for someone rather than against someone. President Bush offers vision and leadership. He made tough choices on the war and taxes that are finally bearing through.
The American people are turned off by doom and gloom talk. Ronald Reagan didn't get elected for criticizing Jimmy Carter. He got elected by talking about and believing things could be better for America and offering an agenda to make that happen.
People want a leader not a critic.

The funny thing is that the Democrats still underestimate him.
It's easy to think that, but I know a lot of bright people who hate Bush more than they don't like Kerry. I can never get them to say exactly why they hate Bush -- they just do.
I think conservatives are going to have to work every moment between now and November to get the vote out.

NO FREAKING CRAP, Bob Dole is honorable, while Kerry is a double taking opprotunist. But in political terms, they are similar.
The big difference now is that energy (at least oil) is free market. When Carter was president Gas was not available at any price. The government controlled the price so the oil men wouldn't sell if the price was too low. Today the worst that will happen is that it will get very expensive.
This is more evidence of the genius of Mr Reagan. BTW Ralph Nader predicted that the price of oil, due to deregulation, would hit $600 a barrel by 1990. What an economist.

I'm old enough to remember all day lines at gas stations to fill a tank. I just think that the Dems think they can cause the same sort of political problems even though the high gas prices of today aren't even close to being the crisis that it was in the late 70's.
And Jimmy Carter had a hell of a lot more going against him too.

My original [Months ago] prediction, repeated here a couple of times in the past two weeks and as recently as a week ago, was for an effective 40:10 States President Bush Electoral College victory.
Given the exposure of the Real America that Former President Reagan never lost site of -- and of which he was always but a part -- and that we have seen again during these past few days -- I am revising my prediction:
United States of America's President and Armed-Forces Commander-In-Chief, George Walker Bush wins a minimum 44 states to the "Democrats'" presumtive pretender's 6 -- or fewer!

I do, too. A lot of people are noticing how much patriotism we've had. I don't think they buy into the idea that Kerry is a model patriot. Many may accept that he believed he was a patriot, but with the 60th anniversary of D-day just past, I think we should all know better.
I knew what you were saying, and it was duely noted. However I still must take issue when anyone belittles Bob Dole's good name with any comparison whatsoever to the likes of the low-life John Kerry.

I've been saying the same thing.
What you tell a pollster is one thing.
What you do once you're in the voting booth is entirely different.
Like during the Reagan years, when you put Kerry and Bush on a stage, side by side, I think it will show the difference dramatically.
In fact, put Kerry on a stage and let him spout his rhetoric and I think it will "scare" people into voting for Bush.
Kerry has not been forced to "answer" questions about his policy, and if he goes into a debate with the same "double speak" that he uses on the campaign he will be as big a laughing-stock as Gore with his "clown cheek make-up" and constant interupting.
I keep a SNL transcript of the skit of the Gore/Bush debates around just to remind me how much "fun" they were.
On the other hand, I also have the conviction that America needs non-Christians to stand up for morality and strong values today. The anti-Christian anti-Americans need to know that they are not just opposed by the devout. They are opposed by anyone who cares about the future of this country. They are opposed by anyone who believes in religious freedom. The left thinks everyone who opposes same sex marriage is akin to a racist and by definition must be a fundamentalist Christian. They're so wrong, but they have the world all figured out and there's no way to talk to them.
