I'd say Mrs. Reagan looks like a grieving lady who was never enlightened enough to realize that "it's all about me." She's grieving, all right, but she also knows that this is her last duty to the nation as a First Lady, and she's seeing it through.

Both of my grandmothers were the same way. That generation had been through so much, carried such burdens, and handled their problems internally and kept their own counsel.

I rather wish we could return to those days vs. the new Jerry Springer sort of primal screams everyone seems to be having these days.

And America thanks her for her service to our country. She is beauty and dignity and class and graciousness. My heart breaks every time they do a closeup on her.
