Ethereal, heavenly choir! Just beautiful. One of my favorite songs, too.

You are so right! What a perfect description. We, as a country, are so blessed by having had her as a First Lady. Such grace and elegance. Mrs. Reagan, we love you.

Nancy has been through hell. She saw her husband become a distant figure who didn't know her, until, perhaps at the very end. When the end came, it is said that she felt something like relief. I would not blame her. Her great husband, the Man who destroyed the Soviet Empire, had passed into History. But not before suffering in the worst, most protracted way. His mind had gone. However, at the end, all was not lost. His immortal soul had returned to its rightful Owner.
I have said in these past days that excessive mourning for Reagan is not appropriate. Rather, I shall paraphrase General Patton, and thank God that Ronald Wilson Reagan lived.
Be Seeing You,
Chris

Malaise was Jimmy Carter's term. He first used it, he first accused the nation of being it.Actually, Carter never used the term. The press termed his downer dronings as his "malaise speech."

I just thought Stevens was edging too much in that direction. Hastert was fine, and Cheney was a truly class act.

Notice how wide they had their eyes open? Probably so they don't cry.
