Matthews has already "warned" that surely Cheney will make it political.
Listen to this applause for our great president!
To: goodnesswins
Agree 100%... this should be a celebration of his life, not a somber funeral...

NBC talking about the day the secret service had to tell him he couldn't ride his horses anymore....continuing on with his later years. Secret service agent...more tears.

which is why the media is STILL mystified.
(I only wish they Repose phase could have included some other parts of the USA but it is understandable to keep it to a minimum.)

Are the people on the route who are clapping doing so out of respect, or clapping because they are happy he is dead, or both?I would think they would stand silent, I doubt anyone clapped when JFK went by.

Some of the smirks on these so called statesmen aka Senators need to be smacked right off their faces. That's what we the people have elections for.
To: ambrose
This is a moment of triumph, really.
To: DefCon
I would agree with you in most circumstances.
However, the onlookers have no way to express their appresiation to Nancy BUT applause.
So, I think it's OK.

That's the Marine Corps band, and their dress uniform is red and white.
We ought to do a thread on them later, you know?

that lone man formation gives me chills everytime- that one plane shooting straight towards heaven.
It is so hot there and look how the Mraines are keeping perfect formation and step- that is so great.
