Actually, I think you could make Rall curl up into a ball with a hard look and that he relies on the basic human impulse of not beating the crap out of pathetic losers to survive from day to day.
Yep. He relies on the morality of his victims to protect him. The same reason "human rights" protestors lay in front of bulldozers in America, but not China or Sudan.
It is a crime to be a traitor (treason is defined in the Constitution). Laws against sedition come and go but can cross the line into treason (in a time of war).
Tire irons sound good, but I think the Rangers won't want to lost their touch. Gloves, I think. Good old Ranger rapelling gloves.
