We can post sentences:

"There's a lot more in there about Iran-Contra, I think. But that's what we get when we turn our first draft of history over to the liberal elites. It's like giving firearms to chimpanzees. Someone is gonna get shot to pieces."

The greatest gift I ever received was being born an American.

The second greatest gift was to be born when Ronald Reagan rescued America from the almost fatal malaise caused by the worst stuff men can come up with.

Ronald Reagan is not just an American hero ... he is an historical figure who will tower because of his highly developed humanity.

Peggy Noonan is one of her book talks about how when Reagan was inaugerated it was a very cloudy day but just when reagan began his speech the sun game out from behind the clouds.

That's what happened during Bush's swearing-in. It was trickling but the moment Dubya put his hand on the Bible the sun came out.

I think Clinton's inaugaration was cold and cloudy LOL

That is one of the really great parts of the article. Since the moderators posted a modification to the original post, I was unsure if I should post even a sentence from it. The whole thing is great. Just too many good lines there. I copied the article from that website and saved it as a text file.

P.S. Please check your freepmail.

"Since I came to the White House, I've gotten two hearing aids, had a colon operation, a prostate operation, skin cancer, and I've been shot. Funny thing is, I never felt better."

and neither did we !

People of limited intellect have to make simple issues appear complex in order to feel smart. People of true intellect can pull simple truth out of complex situations.

You are exactly right. As a research scientist, I saw that many times in my career. Richard Feynman (of Challenger Inquiry fame) was a great example.

It also reminds me of a letter Ben Franklin is supposed to have sent to a friend, in which he apologized for its excessive length saying "I just didn't have enough time to think out a short letter".

Ronald Reagan was my CINC. I cast my first vote for him.

I remember both inauguration days, and was overwhelmed with the beauty and symbolism of the sun coming out to shine on our two fine Presidents, Reagan and Bush.
